"I have never dealt with a more incompetent company in my adult life. While quick to sign you up for a premiere contract, the sales force are the ONLY ones who answer phones. I placed my vehicle in the shop for routine maintenance on Dec27th 2017 and the shop found some issues that needed to be addressed. It took 2 days of them attempting to get authorization to make the repairs, finally getting a Rep named Dale. He insisted that the car be inspected by an outside auditor which took another 4 days. After that report was submitted back to Red Shield...NOTHING!!! The dealership called the company, I called the company and nothing but voicemail hell. I finally got someone on the phone 2 weeks later named Louis who informed me that "Dale" no longer worked there even though his voicemail was still active that day. Louis informed me that he would then take over the claim and to have the dealership send the estimates over to him. Today is Jan 18, 2018 and my vehicle is still at the repair facility and has YET to be authorized by Red Shield to be fixed. In addition do yourself a favor and don't waste time trying to have them set up a rental car. They send you through this rats maze of phone prompts to reach the rental car service only to have it tell you "Good Bye" every single time. I've also never seen a nationwide service company go on a company wide collective "Lunch Break" My suggestion would be for people to save the several thousand dollars paid for this "Service" and bank it for possible future repairs. It would save time, money and certainly frustration."
"This company took an unauthorized payment out of my account. 3 months ago and I have been trying to get my money back. To no avail have talked 5I 5hem on numerous occasions. And each time they promised me my money would be returned in 7 to 10 days. Guess what still no money has been returned. Have called the BBB. How do I resolve this issue. I would not recommend this company to any one. Time to seek legal advise. And also. I called the company that handles towing and so forth. They said my policy cancelled. Oct 23. But they still took monies from my acct. On Oct 27"
"Very Fraudulent Company, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, and I have already began to tell my family and friends about them. I was solicited by them to purchase an extended warranty on my car, with the understanding that if I decided not to go with the policy I had 30 days to cancel it with a complete refund. After receiving the policy I decided against the policy because I decided to get rid of the car. I called them within 2 weeks of receiving their policy to cancel it, and the first disturbing thing that I experienced was that I needed to explain to you why I no longer was interested in this policy. After a detailed report was taken I was informed that with in 14 business days I would have gotten a refund. Not even a week later I was charged for a premium payment from their sister company that did the processing of their payments. When I contacted them I was informed to contact this fraudulent company. Called the company numerous times, with no confirmation as to when I will be getting my refund of both my initial premium payment and this withdrawal that wasn't authorized since that policy was cancelled. Let's not talk about the incompetent customer service agents who all they seem to do is say "I'm sorry for your inconvenience.." but with the same breathe going to tell me, "I can't tell you any thing about your refund..." And when you call the company after they realize it's for your money back the call automatically fails, and you can't get back through to them with your phone but you have to use another number to call. Let's not get into the fact that I have also emailed them about the matter. I will be reporting them to the BBB, the New York State Commissioner of insurance, and the state legislative office because this is ridiculous. And I am sure I am not the only person that has gotten this issue with them."
"I canceled my $3000 red shield Auto protection warranty in May after the many Hoops they have you jump through. I called two months ago to check the status of my refund and I was told by the manager that they sent the check to the dealership and I have to follow up with them because it's out of their hands. This is unprofessional I purchased a red shield Auto protection warranty which I cancelled your business should be responsible for me getting a refund not me chasing the dealership and or whoever to get the money that I paid you. The problem is the dealership is shady and still hasn't sent my check."
"I've had Red Auto Protection for about 4 months now and I've never felt safer. At first it seemed too good to be true, but they got my monthly payments down to a very affordable price and Matt and Sam have been extremely helpful. I hit a bumpy month financially and Sam deferred my payment for a week with no late charge. Next week I'll be taking a road trip and Matt explained that they have me completely covered, should anything happen with my car, including roadside assistance, towing, or a rental car if it comes to that. This company really cares and I highly suggest them to all. Happy traveling."
