"Solar required a site visit fee be paid before confirming the appointment. The technician told us the parts were no longer available for a dishwasher purchased new 2 years ago. We had to contact another repair service to order the part and repair our dishwasher."
"Technician was on time and very knowledgeable. My problem with my washer was resolved quickly."
"9/8/22 spoke with Dycie appt set for 14th had to pay b4 to keep apt. Money came out of my account 9/12. Person came to my house and told me he'd have to re-schedule and freezer had to be defrosted 24 hrs b4. The issue I was experiencing was discussed when apt was made. Why I was not told to defrost is beyond me. Repair person stayed less than 15 mins and I called afterwards and was told the money $124.15 would be put back on my card. I have called and been told for 2 weeks the money will be refunded. How long does it take. Now manager Richard is always in the field and unable to speak. Richard Jennifer and Dycie. You'd think one of them could push the same button it took to take money out of my account...push to put it back. This issue is the same as the class action lawsuit where freezer wall packs with ice, bottom fridge does not cool properly and water puddles beside fridge on the floor. Maybe another lawsuit needs to happen"
"Company was recommended by someone. When tech came, he told me they would need to order parts. 1 1/2 weeks later, after I complained, he came back only to tell me he had misplaced one of the parts and would have to come back the next day. When I “appeared” upset he actually said “I didn’t think this would upset you.” The next day he came back and did “something” then told me it was my fault the icemaker stopped working. Icemaker worked about 2 weeks and quit again. I called Solar and after 1 week another tech came. He opened the refrigerator and said “this is a common problem.” I’ll have to call my boss. Well here we are another week past, no repair and they have $900 of my money. When I called today I was told there is no update on when repairs will be done. Oh and I did say, during 2 weeks icemaker worked, a drill bit came through the ice."
"My washer stopped working about two weeks after my warranty went out. Whirlpool was kind enough to offer to pay for parts AND labor for the inconvenience. I would be responsible for the service charge of $95. Solar Appliance called me to set up the appointment and they said the service charge was $120! I am a single parent making it on my own and every penny counts. I paid the service charge and the technician came out for less than ten minutes to look at my washer. It was already taken apart and he knew exactly what the issue was before he entered my home. The technician assured me he would order the parts and would return in about a week to repair my washer. After he left, I received a phone call from Solar Appliance representative "Dicey" saying I had to pay an additional $250 for the labor BEFORE my parts would be ordered. Dicey stated my service fee would be applied to the labor charge and I would be responsible for $120 or so. I would need to pay at least half of the remaining balance. I told her I did not have that amount at the time. Dicey stated I could call back and everything would go forward. When I called back to pay them the $67 for the parts to be ordered, Dicey stated I would be charged $250 for the labor and the service fee would not apply to the balance! So in less than two weeks Dicey changed her story and wanted me to pay way more than I bargained for. I called Whirlpool and informed them of the situation and they finally agreed to cover parts and labor. I had to wait an extra three weeks for my washer to be fixed due to deceptive tactics by Solar Appliance. The parts could have been ordered and replaced but Dicey was trying to make an extra buck off a struggling single mother. UPDATE: My part is now on backorder and I my service appointment has now been pushed out another two weeks! All this stuff was set up a week ago and your company made promises it could not keep but I am out of money and my washer still does not work. Please make it make sense."
