Reviews
"Friendly, helpful, and professional staff, always."
"Benjamin at the Abita post office is the absolute best. He’s always kind and very willing to help with whatever I need. Like goes over and beyond. I think he’s a gem. I also have never had any issues with anyone else who works here. They are always quick to respond to the bell and are always kind. I use this post office often for mailing."
"I walked into the post office with a good attitude and happy, and I walked out aggravated and upset. Ty is terrible. She is lazy, unmotivated, rude and not friendly, professional or helpful. My heart was racing when I left. I know it is hard to find workers but if people like Ty is all that they have, then they just need to shut down. I would rather drive to the Covington post office than deal with this miserable person again."
"I rarely give one star reviews, but this post office location is the absolute worst. I frequently have items that require flat rate shipping boxes. The display with boxes is never stocked. Further when you go to get boxes everyone who works there acts as if you are inconveniencing them by asking for boxes. Today I was told they didn't have a specific size box and they never carry them. This is a lie because I got one not but two weeks ago to ship my items."
"The Abita Springs Post office refused service to me today because I was not wearing a mask even though I am medically exempt and they have glass partitions separating them from any customer. The person waiting on me had already serviced me by putting a postage stamp on my box and collected a $20 bill for a $12.charge, when Benjamin another employee at another counter not waiting on me, told me I had to wear a mask. I then told him of my medical exemption and he told me that I would not be serviced. I then informed him that I was waiting on my change. Then the girl came back with my change and kept it on the counter without giving it to me and delayed my exit while she peeled the postage label off and handed me my box and $20. bill. I was discriminated against for my medical condition and I intend to sue this federal post office and the 2 employees who triggered an anxiety attack and made my heart race as recorded on my Fitbit. I also have a heart condition in which I am soon to be fitted for a pace maker. What makes these employees question my condition? The Louisiana mask mandate (not a law) exempts me from having to wear a mask. I was practicing social distancing and as I said , these employees had glass partitions and mask on themeselves. My civil rights were violated."
