"Warning from a conservative veteran. Stay away from these corrupt criminals. Ed Simmons (lying broker) ALLIED Van Lines / Lanigan Worldwide Moving and Warehousing Inc. They will take your money up front, lie about delivery, lie about not contracting out, and then destroy all your belongings. I have been in the Marines then Army Engineers for over 20 years total, so I have moved multiple times, used several movers, and I will say without a doubt that this company is by far the worst I have ever experienced. I am not one to write reviews, but I am warning everyone, DO NOT use these crooks. Ed Simmons initially told me and my wife that they never contracted out, but that is exactly what they did, to the lowest bidder. He then said our household goods would be delivered on July 22nd. We had everything in place to move in on the 22nd, then at the last-minute Ed Simmons said we would not receive delivery until the 26th. Then that changed to late evening on July 27th when we finally received our household goods. When they opened the door to truck, I observed how our furniture was crammed on the truck and knew our stuff would be damaged. Sure enough, while they rushed to unload, we found multiple, multiple items and furniture destroyed. I am beyond frustrated because I am a 20-year veteran who has worked hard for everything, just for these insensitive criminals to take your money then destroy your belongings. Then they get an arrogant, rude attitude when discussing the claims process. I purchased the full coverage, zero deductible insurance, then they still give me the complete runaround when trying to get some money back for all my damaged furniture. I am still trying to get some type of reimbursement to this date. I am warning you once more, stay away from Ed Simmons, ALLIED Van Lines, Lanigan Worldwide Moving and Warehousing Inc. They will take your money, contract out to lowest bidder, lie about delivery dates, then destroy your belongings. I am still getting the runaround about claims even after purchasing full coverage insurance with zero deductible."

"We had a really bad experience with this moving company. Several items were broken or damaged, and minimal effort was made to protect our items during packing. During unloading, some of our items were flipped, dragged, and thrown. We are now in the process of filing claims and working with insurance while Lanigan moves on to the next job. I have not heard very much from them since I reached out to express my concerns."

"Mr. Terry and Mr. Simmons were perfect. In 2019 they moved us to Bethesda, Maryland and at the end of June 2021 them moved us back to Ridgeland, Mississippi. The price was comparable to other movers but the service was amazing. Mr. Simmons knows his job and made the logistics of move easy to understand. Mr. Terry and his crew in Bethesda and Ridgeland were moving extraordinaires. In Bethesda they packed and loaded the truck in 3 days and were on the road on June 26th. The full 18 wheeler truck arrived in Ridgeland on June 29th around 8 am. It was unloaded and our items were placed, with care, throughout the house by 3 pm. Everything arrived and nothing was broken. The crew made sure to ask where every box was to be placed. Nothing was placed randomly because it was easier for the movers. We did need craters to package some of our art. They did a great job and the un-craters also did a an amazing job. The guys who opened the art crates did so with caution to protect the art and then they packaged the crates so we can use them again. We tend to move often. :( Overall, my family and I are very happy with our experience with Lanigan. We'll use them again. Hopefully not too soon. I'm tired of moving."

"Scott Kern is fantastic! So we’re the three men , Larry, Arthur, and Alex who worked with him! I am a 68 year old woman, I’ve recently had total knee replacement, and I moved from my home of 30 years in Mississippi to a condominium in Lakeland, Florida. To say this move has been difficult for me would be a massive understatement. The night before Scott and his men arrived with my things, the upstairs flooded causing water damage in my new home. I immediately called a company to extract, dry out, and repair damage, which will take several weeks .. that could not have been postponed...nor could the delivery of my belongings! Scott and his men worked around the repairmen, unloaded, put together things that could be, and stacked all the rest of my things so very carefully in areas that give the repairmen space to do what has got to be done. Scott was unbelievably kind and helpful! I absolutely cannot praise him enough!!!! He also spoke with the men working with him (who are from this area) about coming back to help me with the furniture and boxes once repairs are completed... I AM SO VERY IMPRESSED with his professionalism and kindness!!!"
