"I wouldn’t even give them a star if I didn’t have to… 10/10 do NOT recommend Dr. Leslie Mason at Madison OBGYN. I saw her a few years ago (early part of 2019), because I was interested in switching from my original doctor that I had since I was 13 years old. I really liked Dr. Mason, however, her office staff at the time was extremely rude and treated me like poor scum because we were in between insurance companies. In January of 2020, I saw Dr. Jennifer Bryan (who is amazing, btw), and she said that I needed an emergency blood transfusion because I had lost so much blood. I had the emergency blood transfusion and she recommended that I see my OB, Dr. Gnam (who is INCREDIBLE), and schedule for the hysterectomy I so desperately needed. I saw him soon thereafter the blood transfusion, and had my hysterectomy. I called yesterday to schedule my daughter with Dr. Mason, and was interested in both of us going to see her from here on out, because she came highly recommended by several friends, and while I didn’t have a good experience with her old office staff, I was reassured that the new staff was fine. So I as willing to give it another try, because I want my daughter to feel comfortable with whoever she goes to for an OBGYN, right?! Got a call this morning that Dr. Mason said she would not see me OR MY DAUGHTER, because I had a hysterectomy with Dr. Gnam (my OBGYN for 24 years!!!), 3 years ago!!?!?!! I’m sorry, but that is absolutely RIDICULOUS!!! It is ridiculous not to see me because of that, but my daughter?!?! WTH!!!! Needless to say, I will NEVER recommend going to her clinic…they have made it crystal clear on more than one occasion… I am LIVID."
"I have never had a bad experience at this facility! I always feel amazing going there but now I am uneasy as I try to figure out whats taking place in my body. I called this morning about a similar experience that I had and the doctor was able to see me an help me resolve my issue. This issue has taken place again and I am just trying to see whats my best next steps to resolving it. In my phone call this morning, Chandra w/ no last intial, because she told me that she did not have one but I could tell from her tone she was of african desent like myself... had a very nice nasty attitude when I tried to explain my situation/first experience to her. She placed me to hold and advised I could speak to the supervisor Lisa Davis because I requested to speak to someone else other than her to set an appointment and did not know who my provider was at the time, which is Dr. Mason. I have had wonderful experiences with her and she has been such a comfort for me. The staff as well has been great... but since I still asked to speak to someone out side of Chandra she advised that they told her they were to busy to speak to me. That made me feel uneasy that someone that is the face of your facility can just speak to customers firmly/slightly disrespectful and its ok. I am very big on customer service. We all have tough jobs to do but people who are closest to the customer are suppose to hear them and empathize with them, not direct them based off of what they think should take place. Speaking prematurely will cause a member/client to become firm to get their point across to get the help they need. I dont believe this is the representation of this facility. I didnt have 8 weeks to wait to be seen. Most people dont have 8 weeks to see a provider, she does not know what my plan is for my life or my future. That is why most of the clients they have come here... to be seen in a place of comfort and privacy, to be handle with respect and care. This is already like the one place a woman dreads going to ever year. I advised her that this is my body and I would like to know right away whats going on. She did schedule me for an appointment and it was not what she said to me, I work in provider services, I have been on both sides of the tracks, members and providers...it in which to how she said it to me. I searched on the site and wanted to share my concerns privately and there was not a place to do so. I went to facebook but that is not my style when it come to business as well. After reading some of the reviews...I am glad I am not the only one that has had this experience and wanted to just express my concern. Its hard to do this and I give alot of grace to places."
"I wasn’t going to leave a review because I had a less than great experience at this clinic. However, I’ve heard from another women who had a way worse experience than I did and thought “I wish she had left a review and shared her experience so I would know not to go here.” So here I am. If you need a clinic that solely does a yearly pap and breast exam this is the place for you. If you need a clinic for guidance in understanding your cycle, you have a desire to have children, you need lab test run to check your hormones, you need a doctor that works with you on medication dosages, or you need a doctor that doesn’t punt you to the nearest specialist when the basic approach doesn’t work, would prefer a call back to the voicemail you left instead of an email, look elsewhere."
