"Their banners say "Building Relationships". Notice it does not say building POSITIVE relationships. It s bad enough to have a construction company forcing an institutional building into a residential neighborhood, but Baldwin & Shell really add insult to injury for the residents of Willett with their continual inconsiderate practices. They have a constant stream of visiting workers that park their giant pick up trucks too close to the stop sign at Poplar. They don't stay long but any time at all parked within 20 feet of the stop sign is a danger to residents trying to use their street. All Baldwin has to do is obey basic city traffic rules and not let anyone park all up on the stop sign. But every one that parks their has this "just here for a brief time, rules dont apply to me and I m too lazy/busy too park away from this stop sign" attitude. They do not pay their workers enough to afford proper exhaust systems for their vehicles. Workday mornings BEFORE 7 AM neighbors get to enjoy the sounds of their workers LOUDLY idling in the parking lot. It s the city's fault for allowing institutional construction in a residential area, but Baldwin & Shell chose to take the job anyway. They have definitely built a very negative relationship with me. Their name will forever have negative connotations. Every morning when I hear the loud mufflers I get a little more disgusted with this company and begin assuming they must be greedy and shady to continually wake an entire neighborhood up every morning. I bless the president with a similar "non profit" moving in next to his home for accepting a job to destroy a neighborhood for the good of a few."
