"Most don't realize that this is the first building the memphis zoo had and was built in 1910. This is the same era that central gardens was developed and before that area was incorporated into memphis city limits."
"Terrible!!! STAFF IS AWFUL. STOOD In front of two workers waiting to order, neither of which said I needed to place my order elsewhere. When I was finally told by another girl working, the gentleman taking our order was rude as well. He acted annoyed and sarcastic when I would ask questions. He would laugh and cut up with the other staffers, but customer service skills were insulting. The price of the food is laughable! Not that I expected amazing. However, I expected something better for what I paid. Pizza was nasty. Hot dog was overboiled that it split at both ends. Cheeseburger had nothing, not even cheese on it. We weren't even told where to get the condiments, and the dressings for the burger weren't even offered. Yes, I wanted to complain, but what good would it have done. It was my mistake for not reading beforehand the Google reviews and how poor they were. The Zoo is awesome, the Cafe was the worst experience, and I'm glad we saved it for last. Definitely will make sure to bring snacks or something next time."
"Food is decent but price point is not. You will spend north of $50 for lunch for a family of four. Obviously, they have a captive crowd here so not surprising. Better to eat either before coming into zoo or just buy a snack to share than pay these prices for a full meal. Great variety though."
