"It's been approx. 25 years since I put on diving gear and 33 years since I was certified. My friend's son had a jet boat that sank in a storm at a local lake. Thankfully it was only in about 12 feet of water and still tied to a pier. We went by and rented a tank, a BC, and an octopus (as most of my Dacor gear was out of date and couldn't be used). The lady at the dive shop was very helpful in getting me the equipment that I needed for the dive. We had successful day raising and recovering that boat from the bottom of Lake Providence! "I love this dive shop. They are the only platinum Scubapro dive shop in the Jackson area. The other dive shops in Jackson are good but I really love this one. The service and depth of knowledge they have is deep and transparent. I am a certified rescue diver and am working towards becoming an dive instructor and eventually owning my own dive shop and school one day. Plus, scubapro is my favorite manufacturer of dive gear because of how well it's designed, made, and the quality and performance I've grown to demand from my gear. They are the only platinum scuba pro dealer in the area. So that was a huge win in my books. I was on the fence about coming to talk to them after reading one of the comments on yelp. The only thing I can think of is that she had a bad day and brought that drama in with her. These people are like family and they are direct and straight with you just like family should be. If you ask them a question they will give you a straight and well researched answer. You get what you give in relationships and a good dive shop is no different. If you give them the respect they deserve as human beings they will absolutely give it back. Diving is about finding the beauty in the world beneath the waves and sharing that experience with others. If you hate the world you most likely won't like divers. We are positive people with optimistic outlooks on life. I hope this helps others in their search for their right diving shop and school.
