"I went to see Mr. Frederick because of pain in both my thumbs and a possible broken pinky. The thumb problems were due to overuse, but he completely missed the mark on my pinky. After looking at the x-rays, he declared I had severe osteoarthritis there and that the distal joint had actually fused. Then he said, "You know how you see those old women whose fingers are deformed, well...," he looked at me and laughed. I could have lived with that but he failed to do any tests for rheumatoid arthritis, which it turns out that I have. Early intervention is key to treating RA, and that diagnosis was delayed six months because of his absolute incompetence. Also, OA does not cause joint deformities the way RA does, and two doctors noted the deformities in both my pinkies, which he missed. Both doctors also said he was wrong when he said the joint was fused. Mr. Frederick is incompetent and I advise anyone seeking medical care to stay far, far away."
