"I was referred to this urgent care after several doctor visits in my area and different diagnosis every visit but still no relief in pain. After suffering from sleepless nights, toothache, earache/couldn't hear, and sore throat for over a month, one visit from this place solved all the issues. One way home my ears were instantly opening, the aches were fading and that night I finally got a good night of sleep. The facility was clean, the Nurses/Receptionist/Doctors were very welcoming and the environment was warming. Big Thank you to the whole staff!"
"The nurse (red hair), nurse practitioner (brunette) and MD (Dr Joe- I think) working during the day yesterday (3/12/24) - I wish I knew their names- but they were beyond amazing and did not hesitate to get my 2 year old the help she needed. They did not disregard any of her symptoms and brush us off (like many will do) and handled her care with as much concern and compassion as I had. As a mother- we instinctively know when something isn’t right with our children- and all three of these professionals took my concerns to heart and seen what I felt and also felt she was not acting normal, and deteriorating in front of them. I was alone, without any help at the time I went in- but honestly, I didn’t even have time to feel overwhelmed or scared- they were on top of the things I was trying to figure out how to manage- the nurse packed up all of our things- the NP and MD had given the EMTs full report and had them outside of our exam room ready to transfer us within 10 minutes. The nurse kissed my daughters head, and hugged her like she was one of her own, then came and put my purse on my shoulder and gave me the most sincere hug and that small act of kindness- kept me together. The genuine compassion and concern that was given to my daughter and myself- will never be forgotten. Thank you for not turning us away, for not making me feel crazy for the things I showed concern for, and for not “pretending” they could handle her fragile condition and for knowing it is okay to seek further treatment and not chance the “what ifs.” They made all the difference in what the outcome could have been and what it is ❤️. Thank you!"
"Amazing and compassionate staff even with it being hectic and extremely busy. We did not wait very long at all even with it being a packed waiting room. When we were brought to the back I felt my concerns for my child were heard and understood with feasible and clear feedback on how to help get my child’s health back up to par. The staff was very gentle and uplifting towards my child with words of encouragement and praise for being so brave. SouthStar is our go-to urgent care for any and all future needs. We appreciate you all! Thank you!"
"I am very upset about my visit today at South Star at 7:15 PM on 10/09/23. Now I am PRN with the company. Yes I did wait till 7:15 to bring my son to urgent care where we have visited several times for similar symptoms. we got out of the car and I pulled on the door and at 7:15 the doors were locked. I was told that they were closed. Now I do recall us having a meeting about what time the doors locked and it was 8 o’clock. The doors are supposed to be locked. My son does have asthma, and he was fairly short of breath and felt like his heart was racing. Now to be turned down for a company that I work at was just very sad. There were only two cars in the parking lot."
