"Dr. Vance and other providers are knowledgeable and have excellent bedside manner. The front office is clueless. Some staff is plain rude bcs what are you gonna do? Quit coming in for your pain management? Sadly there’s a lot of incompetence in the front staff. Took 40 minutes to have my surgery instructions printed out. Nursing is rude treating patients like they are dispensable."

"I have chronic pain in my shoulders, which I mentioned at every visit. The nurse practitioner, Mrs. Jones, never tried to address this issue. In addition, They filled out an insurance form for me in 2020, but they refused to do so in 2021, and they denied filling it out because they didn’t make a copy of it. Instead, they accused me of lying about the form that Dr. Vance filled out. The insurance clerk said they didn’t do that kind of paperwork (why?), and then she said they couldn’t do mine for two weeks because they had too many to do. Which is it? You don’t do it? Or you do too many? I was very insulted by the accusations, and I haven’t had any results with pain management. Inept and unprofessional."

"Again this review (my 2nd review) is not of Dr. Vance (he has been excellent when it comes to managing my sciatic pain); this review is of his office management. I called the office on Monday, 11/15/21 to look into scheduling a procedure. I was told my insurance company needed to be contacted to confirm coverage, and I would get a call back to let me know the outcome of that inquiry. I never received a call back (I called and left a message requesting a follow up). Tuesday went by with no follow up call, even after me leaving another voicemail message. On Wednesday I stopped by the office and everyone was at lunch (everyone at lunch at the same time seems like a lack of empathy for customers/patients, but there may be a legal reason behind that, but they could try staggering lunches so that there is someone to at least take a call or a message, something). I went home and called the office again (again had to leave a message requesting a call.). Finally on Thursday morning I was able to reach someone. My record was reviewed and there was no record of any contact with my insurance company. So here it is 4 days later and no call had been made, nor any call to follow up with me (and then there is the issue that the office is closed on Friday, so there would not be any communication until next week had I not kept trying to contact them). This is poor customer service, no other explanation for it. And the COVID excuse is no longer a valid excuse as all companies and households have managed to function with the pandemic for over a year now (just no attempt to provide good customer service or to go the extra mile for the customer)."

"I have been going to Comprehensive pain Clinic for along time now. I love going there. I love all the Drs and nurses. They are really nice people. After going there a few times when their office was in Jackson and when I found out they were moving to Madison. I refused going to another place. That's how much I love Dr Vance and his staff. Dr Vance has helped me out so much. He was the one who put my SCS in and since ive had it put in. It has helped me so much. Thank you Dr Vance for all you've done for me"

"I went here for years after having extreme pain for over 8 years. Other doctors didn’t care. I was skeptical of a pain clinic. However, Dr. Vance and staff really cared. Dr. Vance took time to listen and did everything he could to minimize the pain. His knowledge of my condition was astounding. Matt M."
