"We used Kelty Tile for our kitchen remodel and we are very happy with the results! The staff and contractors are very friendly and professional. They helped us create a plan that worked with our budget and find creative solutions to working around some older aspects in our kitchen."
"Kelty Tile & Marble installed the granite in my new home. After the initial installation I had them come back to install 3 more pieces. The additional pieces of granite they installed were not the same leathered texture as what they installed a couple months before. After several weeks they finally came back and replaced the laundry room shelf with the proper granite but ignored the window ledge and seat in the shower that were a smooth gloss texture. They had to keep coming back to take "multiple times' to take the same measurements over and over. I mentioned to the installer the window ledge in the shower had no fall and so it holds water. He was to busy primping in front of the mirror in my bathroom to pay attention to his work. Beware of using these people."
"My family hired Kelty Tile to perform a remodel of our home. Despite paying Kelty Tile, it performed only a portion of the work and then essentially stopped coming to our home. We had to beg them to come to our home to perform work. We were advised that due to their many other projects, they could not come to our home and that our family project was not a priority--this after paying them over $100,000. Several months after paying nearly $100,000 we were advised that they were not coming to our home since we got a discount on our project, and that we would just have to leave them alone until they could get around to our project. This was simply an excuse, and was never discussed when Kelty Tile was hired. Kelty Tile simply did not care about our project because Kelty Tile had been paid. After months of begging, we finally asked Kelty Tile to give us a two month deadline to complete one of the several remaining projects. After not showing up to work at our home for nearly a month after agreeing to a deadline, Kelty Tile was fired. As always, Kelty Tile had many reasons as to why its company could not come to our home. Kelty Tile was fired 15 months after they were hired. Keep in mind, the Empire State building took a little over 13 months to complete. Kelty Tile was no where near complete with our home remodel after 15 months. We were patient, kind and gave Kelty Tile every chance to complete the remodel. After being fired, Kelty Tile was absolutely baffled as to why they were let go and then refused to provide a refund to our family complaining that we somehow breached a contract? Kelty Tile then threatened to charge us more money for firing them after its company never wanted to come work. The new contractor we hired comes to our home everyday, and works from 8 to 5. This is what we expected when Kelty Tile was hired. Kelty Tile argued that basically all the issues with the delay at our home were our fault, and that we changed our mind too much. Kelty Tile argued that it does not owe us nearly a $20,000 refund for projects that we paid for and were not performed. Although, every time Kelty Tile asked for money it was paid. Every time Kelty Tile advised that we owed additional money for "changing our minds," it was paid. Our family did everything that was asked of Kelty Tile. What Kelty Tile has done to our family is dishonest and criminal, and will certainly be sorted out among a jury of its peers. Over the course of our project, nearly every subcontractor hired by Kelty Tile quit working for them complaining that they were not paid. Moreover, most of Kelty Tile's workers do not speak English. This makes it very difficult to communicate. In fact, a good portion of work Kelty Tile performed had to be redone because we would communicate how a project should be performed, and apparently our instructions were lost in translation with Kelty Tile's workers. I guess this was also our fault? Everything was always our fault! I could write another five pages as to why you should not use this company. But, I would certainly steer clear. We used Kelty Tile because of their reputation, but you should know that this company was under previous ownership. It is my understanding that the prior owner was excellent and performed phenomenal work. Unfortunately, the new ownership is only concerned in getting your money and not so interested in doing the work. Kelty Tile has no accountability. If there is every a problem with your project, it is going to be your fault and not Kelty Tile's fault. I hate to write such a negative review, but I hope that this review will give some insight about this company before using. Best of luck on your remodel."
