"Had an engine replaced under warranty. Car seems to be perfectly fine. No problem with anything day one. I say this because I've seen other reviews that was 1 star for some odd things. I believe the only thing that would have made my experience better is The dealer should have cleaned under the hood a little to clean up the coolant and washed it once returned to me. "In May 2023, my purchase of a Kia Carnival SX Prestige from North Carolina was a highlight until several defects emerged, detracting from the initial excitement. Among these, the passenger seat leather exhibited cracks and fuzziness, a surprising find during our drive home, prompting a plan for a warranty claim. By October 2023, additional issues warranted a visit to Tameron Kia: protruding dash foam and a misaligned door panel. Our encounter with service advisor Yao Nguyen initially seemed promising until we discussed the seat leather. Yao quickly deemed the damage as wear and tear, often interrupting our explanations, a behavior frustratingly familiar to both my wife and me. Following Yao's direction, we reached out to corporate Kia, only to learn that warranty decisions rested with the dealership's non-customer facing manager, contrary to Yao's implication. This discrepancy highlighted a potential misdirection effort by Yao. January 2024 brought another issue to light: water accumulation in the rear bumper lights, which Yao dismissed as condensation. With my background as a master technician, I recognized it as a seal failure, contradicting Yao's assessment. Persistence led to the eventual order of replacement parts. The February 2024 service intended to address the water ingress but resulted in new problems: a misaligned bumper, scratches, adhesive residue, a misaligned left taillight, and gaps in the rear hatch's weather stripping, suggesting negligent service. The thought that these issues, clearly service-induced, might be dismissed as 'normal wear and tear' adds insult to injury. It's a cautionary tale highlighting the need for integrity in automotive service. Consequently, I cannot recommend Tameron Kia for vehicle service, as their actions have significantly undermined our trust in the brand. This ordeal emphasizes the importance of vigilance and advocacy in vehicle ownership and service experiences. For potential customers of a Kia vehicle or service from Tameron Kia, BEWARE! The 10y/100k warranty is a gimmick to suck you in. If they do not stand behind their product, neither should you."
