"What ever you do, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! I tooke my manual car here to get it checked out. The clutch pedal was stuck to the ground and at times the car did not want to go into gear due to the fact that the clutch pedal was stuck to the ground. "Victor" was my mechanic for this. He gave me the runaround and even when i told him that i needed the car back ASAP he neglected to call me as soon as the car was ready to take home. When i went to the shop to get my car back, "Victor" told me that my car was fixed. He basically took a spring from an old car and attached it to my clutch pedal so that it can seem fixed. I made sure to ask him multiple times if the problem was completly fixed. He reassured me that the car is perfect and that i wouldn't need any more work to the car. He lied straight to my face. When i drove off, i felt the clutch still biting at a very low point but his spring just pulls the clutch pedal up. Eventntualy i took my car to a profesianal and the CSC and master cylinder needed to be replaced. This "Victor" character is just a hustler. He is not a real mechanic. He has little to no real knowledge about a manual transmision. Don't waste your time or money going to this shop!!! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY!!!!"

Though he is always very busy, he goes through great effort to be as convenient as possible to all of his customers."

"H&C was brought a vehicle to have engine work done (running rough/backfire). Picked it back up after H&C had it for eight weeks. One of the shop owners said they drained and refilled the tank, replaced fuel pump, replaced fuel pump relay, fixed fuel line, replaced the radiator cap, and cleaned the carburetor. Gave us the receipt with the itemized work items, took $1500 cash and stated the work had a 30 day guarantee. Got it home with no issues other than a particularly odd smell – something akin to burning alcohol. The NEXT day, wife starts the vehicle – about TWO minutes later it’s fully involved in flames. Fortunately, the local fire department was very quick to respond. Even though it’s a total loss, no damage to house or injury to family. Upon hearing the story, it was suggested to let H&C know. Talked to the younger of the two H&C owners showing him a picture and describe what happened. Offered to give him the location of the vehicle in case they want to look at it themselves, have an attorney send an investigator, or an insurance investigator to look at it to determine cause and offer a resolution. The younger owner immediately got the elder owner; who simply shrugged upon hearing the news and stated “so it’s old.” We are now investigating the legal avenues available to us (and something tells me he’s been down this path more than once before). Offering this little insight to those considering having any work done by H&C in the hopes it may prevent someone else from falling into this predicament. BTW: if you should go, look closely at the shop and grounds, we can now verify it’s a reflection of the owners’ work as well as attitude…"
