"I wish I had a way to put some pictures in some photos on this comment of this island glass bar it's bad the storm created a bad issue all kinds of logs are down and as well as the water is really running deep between all the others it's bad just saying"
"Wonderful visit, not very busy, only males were present, will be back! What you need to know: Park at the top of the hill across from an adult store and go down a visible path to the railroad tracks. From there, head right until you see a post on the left and dirt trail (if you get to a gated building on the left, you have gone too far). There is a dirt path down that leads to a downed tree with wooden crossbeams nailed down to form a bridge. This path leads to an old gravel/dirt/rock road. This road goes both directions, (different ways to get on the island) but I liked going to the right as the road continues straightforward for half a mile before tapering off with a path on the left that leads to an old picnic area with benches. Just past the benches are some rocks crossing the river. Once you cross the rocks, you have entered the clothing optional island. The main beach/sunbathing area is just beyond this point. Be sure to bring towels (or blankets) to lay on and separate ones if you are getting in the water (whatever goes on the ground will be covered with dirt and debris). Lots of blackberries to eat by mid summer. There is no restroom nearby nor fresh/clean water, so plan ahead. Be safe (whatever your plans are) and enjoy! "Official access is via canoe/kayak. There is a nice landing area. There is no bridge to the island. I forded the knee-deep river with slippery rocks on the bottom and fast current. Most land accesses have "No Trespassing" signs posted. Heed them. There is one roadside parallel parking space on northbound Franklin Blvd at the trailhead. Otherwise you have to park at the establishment across the street. That single pullout parking space marks the steep trail access down to the railroad tracks. Walk south (right) down the tracks about a hundred feet to the next trail opening. It's pretty steep, too. You will eventually come to a large fallen tree with boards nailed into it. Cross it. On the other side, walk up to the road. Turn right (south). Follow the road around the corner. Walk almost to where there is a yellow barrier across the road until you notice the trail toward the easternmost point of the island."
"Beautiful peaceful area but remember if you are looking for clothing optional fun or activities this is NO Rooster Rock in Portland. Not nearly as much privacy. No official sandy beach area either so bring a thick tarp or multiple towels to lay on. Lots of stickers and thorny underbrush. Gorgeous views in all directions. Nice and quiet aside from I5 road noise. The river is very clean and pristine here. Take a dip you wont regret it. It is worth a check! Try for yourself"
"Not much I can say. Secluded, private, clothing optional, and NATURE. Adults only reccomend. I'll be back. The catch: its a secret path to access thats invisible."
