"One of the best little city parks, though it’s not part of Eugene’s park system, but supported by the River Road neighborhood since before annexation of most of the surrounding neighborhood. Great place, lots of amenities and friendly folk."
"Yeah. So anyway. I went wandering. This Park is right here. Never went anywhere. I am not the only person who found it. All kinds of Human Beings here. Frolicsome. Noisome. Happy to be alive, Human Beings. Wide open. Useful. A delight. So there."
"I've been visiting here for years now, the pool opens at 5:00 a.m. There's always lifeguards available, the bathrooms & showers are always clean & even when I was homeless bringing my daughter there to get ready for school everyone was quite friendly to us. My only issue is actually with the Park service not providing a security guard. Because we have had a few incidences with child creepers. #zerotolerance"
"One of my favorite parks, not only in Eugene, but in general. It's amazing the way the trees have grown and the grass stays green all year round. The Recreation center is great for working out, swimming, and local activities. The playground was a staple for my kids growing up."
"The toilets are clean and well-stocked (I'm a fan of good bathrooms). There are lots of picnic benches for gatherings, and lots of shade for hot days. This park doesn't have a huge open grassy area; not ideal for flying a kite or playing frisbee or other ball sports. There is a basketball court behind the park, however, and it is pretty good."
