"I had an amazing experience with Wagsworth grooming. They explained their grooming process and were very patient and kind to our scared doggie. I'd recommend them if you're in the area!"
"KayCee was wonderful and did an excellent job for my pup’s first haircut. She spends time getting to know the dog so he is comfortable with her working on him. She did a great job deshedding him and cleaning up his undercoat. He looks so handsome and was happy when I picked him up instead of being in a crate barking up a storm like at Petsmart. They allow the dogs to walk around and interact instead of holding them in crates until it’s their turn. I really love that and the attention they give them. Definitely recommend and will return. #doggrooming #australianshephard"
"The review left by Rachel Mulholland is accurate on the cost. And we even had an excellent groomer (Ty) who was very thorough, professional, our pup was very happy and well taken care of. We first brought her in Spring of 2022, then Fall and twice last year. This review is NOT a reflection of his good work. The price increase at this place has nearly doubled and so we are going somewhere else now. Mainly because I had an awful conversation earlier with whoever takes the calls (I believe the manager or owner), who was not able to work with me on cost or even give me a range in price, outside of “if I took my dog in once a month” scenario. She said that most people bring their dogs in every 4-6 weeks. Considering several in our neighborhood bring their dogs in every 3 months at their groomers I know this is simply not true. I was willing to go from every 6 months to every 4 months, it’s only been 3.5 months, but the lady on the phone made me feel like I’m neglecting my dog sooooo much for this. So I guess if you make over $120K/year and/or don’t have anybody struggling in your life that you are taking care of, then this is your place. I’d suggest being able to make over $300K a year soon to go here, as I’m guessing they’ll be at $500/appointment in another 3+ years. So ridiculous. People are struggling out there, we are some of them and now have to go to another groomer. I believe the same person said “well you probably pay a lot more on your own hair”. Actually, no and not that it’s any of her business, but my wife and I go cheap and don’t spend more than $150 total for both of us for the year. So considering we were willing to spend $450-$480 for our dog for the year (3 times at $150), that’s over 3x what we spend on ourselves. I guess that’s not good enough to them. I realize inflation effects them as well, but the person on the phone also mentioned they use a special shampoo imported from France and are spending even more to get “higher-end stuff”. Why don’t you just rename the salon – “Upscale Wagsworth, only for Tualatin’s Rich and Famous”? It is obnoxious to expect people to spend over $2,000 a year just for a bath and haircut for their dog. The average household (family) income in Tualatin is about $135,000/year according to google, not $300,000."
"I had a stressful experience here. I brought my dog here multiple times and was very communicative about the fact that I've never had a dog with his type of (wooly) coat before. I had a completely different experience here the first time with a female groomer versus the second time with a different groomer and then the last I was in there, I had a rude experience with a third person who was neither the first nor the second groomer.... The third person told me they had to shave my dog again even though they had just shaved him 6 months prior and my dog is a malamute. I declined this and she was very short with me. She gave me back a soaking wet dog, charged me $190 and then told me that I asked for that because I didn't want him to be shaved. If it sounds confusing reading about it, that's because it was confusing experiencing it. The price point was extremely expensive here. I have easily spent over $1,200 in less than a year here. I didn't feel supported or clear on what was happening to my dog at any point in time. You can't really see the facility behind the gate. It always smelled like dog pee and poo whenever I got there inside the building. There were always dogs milling about as if it was a dog daycare. I trusted that things were going as they should because I'd never used a groomer before. Today I went to a different professional groomer that is not Wagsworth Grooming and I had a much better experience. I paid half as much as I would have paid at Wagsworth. They had my dog for a few hours versus an entire day - AND THEY DIDN'T SHAVE MY DOG NOR DID THEY THINK THAT WAS NECESSARY AT ALL! Most importantly, my dog was in a great mood when I picked him up and the staff was empathetic and kind to me. It made me realize that Wagsworth Grooming was a very negative experience for me. I do not recommend Wagsworth Grooming. I'm giving it two stars because it may just be that the type of coat my dog has doesn't work well with this location and they may be perfectly fine at doing other types of grooming services for other types of dogs."
"KayCee is amazing! My pom Fergus gets anxiety around other dogs or when he goes to the groomer but she’s really sweet with him and he always looks so handsome after every appointment! I don’t trust anyone but KayCee! I love this place!"
