"Our rescue is so grateful to Mark. We have helped dogs for 12 years and Mark is one of the few trainers who truly knows what he's doing and you get your money's worth. We refer our adopters from all over the country to him which works since he can do Zoom sessions. They always say how great he was and truly have a plan to work with their dog! I have complete confidence in him and am so grateful that he exists!!"
"Mark is the best! He is super knowledgeable. You can tell he sincerely cares for dogs and wants the best for them. He has taught us how to best work with our aggressive dog, and we are so happy"
"Mark has been invaluable to me and to our family. I met Mark about 12 years ago when we had our Labrador puppy who was, well, a Labrador. He worked with us for months to get her to be a well behaved, civilized and lovely dog who was able to work with me for years in my job at hospice. When we added a shelter pup to our family four years ago, he came to the rescue again. This time during covid and on zoom, all the while we were living in Portugal. He met with us to help us work through all this pups fears, oddities, and some aggressions. After our lab died, he helped us help our dog learn to adjust. Fast forward to now. We have continued to work with Mark remotely as we have added in another older rescue to the family. He's been nothing but a godsend. He knows how to help us learn to read our pets with our gut and our heart. If you have any doubts, reach out to Mark and his team. It's been such a relief knowing he is there, even miles away, to help us navigate whatever comes up. Thank you Mark and LOTP!"
"I can’t say enough good things about Mark and Leader of the Pack. My partner and I adopted a 75lb Pit mix last year who was billed as easygoing but actually had severe leash reactivity and resource guarding issues toward other dogs. At first he was almost completely unwalkable, having physical red zone reactions to any dog in sight and constantly pulling so hard his prong collar would make his neck bleed. He also had a hair trigger toward our other dog around even the slightest scent of food. We were at the end of our rope and reached out to Mark. We started with an in home visit where Mark talked to us a lot about breed and pack psychology as we went through a walk and feeding time. We signed up for a training package at his home and through 5-6 sessions learned/practiced a ton about leash pressure work, proper corrections and rewards, projecting assertive leadership, obedience work, recapturing his attention when he’s reactive, and so much more. Mark is a great teacher and a wealth of information about dogs and dog behavior. He quickly gave us the tools, confidence and hope we needed to get our boy Huddy turned around and on the right track. The progress we’ve made so far with Mark’s help is astounding. Huddy now walks primarily slack leash and his reactions toward other dogs are infrequent and much easier to manage and turn into training situations. He now gets along very well with our other dog and they’ve developed a trusting, loving bond. We often pause and mention that where we are today would’ve been unimaginable before meeting Mark. Reach out to him! He’s incredibly helpful, friendly, and really gives you the sense that he’s on your team and has your back. Some of the best money I’ve spent hands down."
"We have two very fun and energetic Goldendoodles that have needed some extra training to help get them where they are today. We made the mistake of getting litter-mates, and while we wouldn't change a thing, it has meant they have been strongly bonded to each other and need some additional training to keep their focus on good behavior. Mark has done wonders in helping our dogs be less reactive around small dogs to the point where they are now able to have play time with a dachshund (see photo proof below)! We recently boarded our dogs with the idea of helping them get ready for a new child in the family. Mark provided excellent training for our dogs but also coaching for us in how to better manage their behavior to ensure success."
