"In case all the other 5 star reviews don't do the trick, here's another one! I acquired a pair of vintage wedge sandals that I quickly discovered had a ton of sole deterioration to the point of being totally unwearable and collapsing when I walked. I brought them to multiple local shops in my area and they told me that they either straight up couldn't fix it, or it was too much work to fix so they wouldn't do it. I found Boiler Room Shoe Repair online in a thread about sole deterioration, and emailed the shop with photos of the shoes. Rachael got back to me super quickly with details, and confirmed it could be done + she was willing to do it! I shipped the shoes in and Rachael was very responsive + informative + communicative through the whole process. She laid out the work that needed to be done, why, and also included details on other optional fixes on the shoes I might want. I feel like I learned a lot about how shoes are made on top of the actual shoes fixes which was so neat and much appreciated! It was also fun to follow along the repair process on Boiler Room's instagram. Pickup was super easy and the shoes look great -- as part of the repair, the entire snakeskin material had to be taken off the sole, the old sole had to be completely removed, a new sole had to be shaped, and the material re-applied to the new sole + the whole thing glued back together... and it looks just like it did before! Some of the fixes I had originally asked for (specifically the toe tips) ended up not being needed, which Rachael also pointed out to me + explained why it was unnecessary as well. I am so appreciative that Rachael was willing to take on this project and did an amazing job repairing shoes that I otherwise would've had to throw out. It's been a couple of months and my shoes still look great (even with walking literal miles in them on some gnarly NYC sidewalks) and are finally wearable. Rachael is seriously dedicated to her craft and it shows!! Amazing work, could not recommend more :)"

"I'd leave 10 stars if I could. It was so refreshing to work with someone who truly understood my blue collar problems and didn't make me feel like an inconvenience. I couldn't drop my boots off until she would be ready for them because I need them to work in. She made an exception and made me an appointment for her next available slot. I dropped them off two weeks later and got them back in TWO DAYS!!!! I dropped them off at the end of the day and she was finished with them the next! I picked them up before the weekend even started and had fresh boots for work! The handcrafted heel turned out better than I could have ever imagined. This was my first time getting boots resoled. She made it such an easy and enjoyable experience. I'll definitely be back."
