Labcorp at Providence Bridgeport

"Wait times well over 1 hour for any blood draw, I waited no longer than 20 minutes last year. Their ability to offer services has completely diminished. Not going to use Providence anymore"

"Wait times are typically 45-60 minutes. No matter if you arrive at 7am or 10am. And their notification process is archaic. Sign into a computer. Then they verbally call you 45 minutes later. Why cant they tie the sign in to your phone and text you or assign a number when check in so you can anticipate how long the wait will be. I gave 2 stars because the staff are typically friendly and gentle."

"I'm giving LabCorp 5 stars because they have improved immensely since I last visited right after they took over running all of Providence's labs. I went on a Monday morning first thing. I arrived at 645 for their 7am opening and I was 3rd in line. I was on my way home by 730am. It appeared they had 7 or 8 phlebotomists working, compared to maybe 2 or 3 when I last visited 6 months ago (and waited more than an hour despite arriving before opening). When I left at 720 there was a long line - maybe 20 people - but it appeared to be moving at a consistent rate with someone else called every few minutes. The staff person I interacted with was friendly enough and very good - found my hard-to-find vein on the first poke. I do find it's best to arrive before opening to get in and out as fast as possible, but I am glad they are improving wait time. This lab still closes at 330 due to staffing issues, however."

"I used to Love this place. It was friendly and well-staffed. Wait times were reasonable, around 30 minutes, maybe 45 minutes tops. I need labs for an upcoming surgery and have tried 3 times. I am back for the fourth time, signed in, it’s been 40 minutes, so we’ll see. One phlebotomist, and wait times over an hour. I will find another lab."

"I drive from SW Beaverton to this lab because of the phlebotomists. I have two labs near me that are much closer, but do not offer the convenience nor the courteous service. The difference between this lab and the one on Scholls Ferry in Tigard is like night and day. This location is well staffed. There are usually 4 to 6 phlebotomist or lab techs visible and working. Techs are patient-focused. Today I had the pleasure of working with senior lab tech, Julie. I appreciated that I didn’t leave the laboratory in a worse mood than when I arrived. I just went and I got my blood work done had a nice convo about gardening and then I was able to go about my happy day. And I really appreciated that. The time before that, I was helped by a lab tech named Chris. He was fantastic and friendly. He even made some funny jokes, which is helpful when they’re about to stick a needle in your vein. My entire visit from the time I walked into the door at the time I walked out, was probably 15 minutes. Having an experience that is not traumatic when getting bloodwork can only help patients to stay on top of their bloodwork.☺️ I would avoid going during the lunch hour because the line seems to move slower."
