NVISION Eye Centers - LASIK Eye Clinic - Portland, Tigard, Beaverton

"I'm sure the doctors are great at this practice, as many of the previous reviews state. However, I had several issues that were red flags and led to me choosing another LASIK center. First, the communication was completely nonexistent. I went in for a consult in October and decided to wait for the new year to schedule. When I called to book, no one followed up with prep instructions. The woman assigned to me (Stephanie) quoted me $300 higher than she had in October, and then quickly corrected herself when I sent a screenshot of the last quote. As the date of my appointment drew near, I had no idea when I was supposed to be out of contacts, when to arrive, when I’d be done, if I needed any prescriptions for the day of, if I should be using eye drops- nothing. I emailed on a Monday when my surgery was scheduled for Friday, and Stephanie only replied with the time I should arrive without asking any of my other questions. I tried to call several times and always was sent to voicemail. I had to rely on Google to figure out prep best practices, which had me feeling really nervous and unsure. I decided to cancel my appointment- not having any information or reassurance before someone operates on your eyes is a no go for me. After I canceled, I called LASIK+ and they got me set up for a surgery on the same day I had planned. They gave me lots of info, made me feel super comfortable, and most importantly- made me realize that NVISION hadn’t calculated the price correctly with my VSP+ and NVISION was going to charge me TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS MORE. So- not only did NVISION not make me feel comfortable or prepared, I almost overpaid by $2000 for lasik due to their mistake. Dr Young seemed awesome when I met him and I’m sure he’s a great doctor. But the staff here ruined it for me. 0/10, would not recommend."

"I feel so fortunate that I found NVISION when I needed to have cataract surgery. I had gotten referrals to a few other offices that wanted me to come back for repeated short appointments day after day. Because I work this was very impractical. At the other offices I was not able to get clear estimates of what my insurance should cover. At NVISION the entire evaluation and recommendation for surgery happened in one detailed session. All of the staff was very good about explaining what we were doing during the evaluation process, the scheduling of the surgery, and the breakdown of what my insurance would cover, as well as what I would be responsible to pay. Dr. Young was very patient and thorough and made sure I understood all my options. The out-patient procedure to address the cataract was very well organized and went smoothly. I had a one day, one week, and one month check on my eye to make sure everything was healing as expected. At my one month follow up appointment they updated the prescription for my glasses. Since my optometrist had referred me for surgery, it really helped to not have to go back again. I honestly do not know how it could have gone any better. When I need surgery for my other eye, I will definitely return to NVISION! With Gratitude, Jeanne"

"What an amazing experience I had here. The facilities are gorgeous, well lit and very clean. Every single staff member here was warm, friendly, and genuinely seemed like they were happy to see me. Both in the consultation and before the procedure everything was really clearly explained and they went out of their way to make sure I didn’t have any other questions. The procedure itself was shockingly quick, I was done within about 30 minutes after I got to the procedure room. Starting the very next day my vision was incredibly Improved. I would highly recommend this place and this procedure to everyone."
