"I had Dr. Ottenheimer as a primary care Dr. for about 5 or 6 years. This is a edit( complete do over) of my review. I was forced out for reasons I still don't know and was angry so I only reviewed the last month. Dr. Ottenheimer is the best doctor I've ever had, every time I told him about a issue he did his best to get to the bottom of it. He always referred me to the expert I needed and always believed me. If you get to see him you will be in good hands. Gary"
"On my mom's third visit with dr. Ottenheimer we had to wait almost two hours for her scheduled appointment. Once we were finally in a room with him he asks her "have you been diagnosed"? "Well doc that's what this appointment is for"... Doc then asks if asked "have you had spleen checked, because I don't remember... "yes doc you checked it two weeks ago"... I could look past most that but not when a doctor doesn't even tell you what is really going on. You say no big deal it's a blood disorder and we leave thinking sweet it's not cancer or aids we've got this.... just to go home and find out it is cancer. We will never use him or recommend him to anyone. All we wanted was little honesty, competence and compassion. We got none of those."
"Dr. Ottenheimer goes above and beyond in his compassion and genuine empathy and concern for his patients well being. I have been seen by at least ten different doctors here in Roseburg this past 3 years for various ailments and conditions and Dr. Ottenheimer is by far the most emphatic and caring one. He relates to me and gives solid and sensible advice. I see a plaque in his office that he was awarded doctor of the year and my humble opinion is that it should be an award for doctor of the century. It doesn't end there either. Dr. Ottenheimers staff is friendly, courteous and caring as well."
