"For one and a half years, my teenaged children attended this "school". My daughter was training for her 2nd degree black belt and my son was training for his 1st degree black belt. In April of 2022, both my children tested for their respective belts. We were told it would take 3 months for the paperwork to be processed. In September 2022 (5 months after the test), we were told the paperwork was still being processed. In December 2022 (7 months after the test), we were again told the paperwork was still being processed. In February 2023 (10 months post-test), I requested my money back. Only then was I told that Galindo isn't qualified to promote anyone to a black belt of any degree, and he submitted the paperwork under another instructor's name - one who is registered to promote students. Again, I was told the paperwork was accepted and the certification was going to arrive any day now. Finally, in May 2023 (13 months after the test) the paperwork did come through for my son. His process date on the certificate was listed as February! All those months we were told that my son's paperwork was "being processed", it was just sitting on Galindo's desk. The paperwork for my daughter was never submitted! Although I did get my money refunded, my daughter won't get that year of training back - not only did she not advance, but when we switched her to another school, she learned that the poses that Galindo had taught her were wrong! She has actually fallen backwards in her training! Perhaps Galindo is a good instructor for lower belts, but if you are looking to advance into black belts, I strongly urge you to look for another school. I hope you learn from my and my children's costly mistakes."
