"UPDATE MAR 6, 2024: They did finally make things right. No money back, no additional costs. Conscience or the Traveling Moth (my bus) is now running well and has been for a couple months. *fingers crossed knock on wood* It took two different managers, ??? workers, and ultimatum of small claims court - which I had a strong case for as the problem WAS EXACTLY WHAT MY NORMAL MECHANIC AND I TOLD THEM TO LOOK AT WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN INITIALLY (Feb 2023). But, they traveled to me for every subsequent repair, which they covered in full, and Carsen custom made me a part they were having trouble ordering. My normal mechanic looked over Carsen's work, had good things to say, and the reason for the original failure made sense. In Conclusion: If you can find another shop, do. If you have to go here, demand Carsen and be prepared to wait a long f-ing time. For any Skoolie full-timers this would be super rough. Far as I my experience, Carsen is the only worker there who listens, reads the diagnostic equipment correctly, is skilled and kind. *** Four months at their shop. Over $4000 bill. My 2007 International School Bus *still* doesn't run and HAS EVERY SINGLE PROBLEM THEY SAID WERE FIXED. I am livid. I was told she was ready to be picked up. About a week later - my schedule is very full currently and the bank check needed to be received - so today I had the morning off. I went by to pick her up. First, she didn't start, and it seemed the brand new batteries they installed were dead. That was a simple fix - battery kill switch disengaged. When the mechanic started her up, it was a *really* hard start. Then her air brakes kept beeping. So I turned her off, waited, restarted - had an easier start - but air brakes beep kept going. On my short walk back to the service shop, I didn't get halfway there before before she shut off. The. Exact. Issue. I. Brought. Her. In. With. I showed my normal mechanic - who doesn't have the International specific diagnostic tools necessary for this job, so we worked together to find Peterson and are so disappointed - the invoice. "Wow, literally no mention of the visibly damaged ECU which was explicitly in the paper I had you give to them. 2800 in labor and they couldn't be bothered to diagnose the one thing I couldn't." I am really looking forward to seeing Peterson's plan to make this right. Because right now I want double my money back."
