"They raised the price from $2.50 to $8.00!!! Used to take a couple kids on it, eat at the cafeteria in the hills and come back down to the waterfront for a walk. No longer, now that it's $32 to take a few kids on a 1 minute ride. They no longer take Tri-Met passes either, although it's part of Tri-Met."
"I always love these. Have been on ones from Switzerland to Palm Springs USA. Very cool technology. This is more of a commuter transit system to the upper Hospital. Clean fast and great views of Portland. A little warm inside. For an 80F day."
"Closed to the public, FYI. Hospital staff only."
"Good opportunity to have a bird's eye view... however, i find it very hard to drive there. I ended up parked under the cable line and walked the pedestrian bridge there... free street parking. Also do check out the hospital on top. I think the design is like cable car in SF where the cable is in a loop running under the ground to return."
"Very efficient"
