"Sentry denied the claim without a reason when My wife had witnesses of being stopped at a light and being hit by a truck hard enough to puncture big holes in our trunk and and crumpling both back quarter panels. I am contacting the BBB!!! Always involve the police and take lots of pictures of the other car, license, driver etc- never just accept a Sentry Insurance card thinking they'll pay!!!"
"A truck driver with Sentry Insurance ran into my truck. He lied and said I ran into him. So, Sentry said they did not need to investigate the claim and rejected my accident. That is terrible that they would not even try to look into it more. They don't care about people, just saving money."
"Sentry insurance is the most unprofessional insaurance company I have ever had to deal with. I got in an accident almost 1 year ago because of their driver and my claim still has not been processed! Timothy Fortmann does not return my calls or emails for weeks or months at a time. He Told me he was only waiting on one thing, after 10 months, and when I took care of it personally to make sure it was getting done he then told me he was still waiting on something else that I was previously told was taken care of. I have emailed him 6 times in the past two weeks and still no response. If you have to deal with them than I am so sorry, this is the most unprofessional, and horrible customer service I have ever received and I’ve worked in customer/member services for 8 years."
"If there was less than 1 star I would give it. Their driver hit me 2 1/2 months ago and I have left them Several messages and Emails with NO REPLY. The only time I would get a call back is when I called and asked for his supervisor the company would say they are getting the supervisor and then would have the employee I was complaining about pick up the phone. He was intolerably rude and I have reported him, his supervisor and the company to the NAIC. I highly recommend others do as well to finally shut them down! My insurance has been incredible through this entire process and made things very smooth! I work with Pemco through Bisnett wouldn't trade either of them for the world. Angela Yundt I suggest as a supervisor that when I leave you a message you call back and don't send my message to the employee I am complaining about. The NAIC found that extremely unprofessional and inappropriate. They are the ones who recommended I file a formal complaint. Thank god I was able to send them a recording of EVERY interaction I had ever had with anyone their. As for James Cockerham if you need to get a hold of him simply call and ask for his supervisor Angela he will pick right up, however that is the only way to get a hold of him! I record ALL my phone calls, Messages etc.. and if you have to work with these companies I suggest you do the same! Sentry., Dairyland, and Viking are all the same company they need shut down!"
"If Ashley Burton works here, heed my advice: she needs to be re-trained in customer service. Not only is she completely incompetent of doing her job, she is appallingly unprofessional. After over a month of leaving her a voicemail, my insurance agent finally got a hold of her. By that time my car had arrived at the service center because it was too dangerous to drive. Yesterday on the phone she told me she had sent me letters and that no one could get in contact with the service center, my insurance agency or myself (lies) and that my claim was going to be dropped (illegal). She also rudely exclaimed that I couldn't get my car repaired just anywhere (yes I can). What a scam! I got on the phone with my insurance company and an agent was blown away by the things Ashley said to me. HE apologized because I had to deal with someone like her. I got my car back in brand new shape yesterday and didn't have to pay the $3,000 in damages the other driver caused, but not because of Sentry Insurance, especially not because of Ashley."
