But even better, the owner was out of a few items I ordered online and he called me to let me know and ensure me he was giving me something good to substitue. He’s a super nice guy. "I have done work in Haiti for years, and I was fortunate enough to have lived there for a short time in the past. We got to talking to the owner Alix (great guy) when we arrived and quickly found out he was from the same town I lived in! So I may be biased but being at Tap Tap and eating the food brought me back to one of the best times and places of my life. Haitian food is simple but solidly good. The women doing the cooking brought us out food that reminded me of what we ate in Jacmel every day! We had Griot (fried pork) with fried plantains and pikliz (its like a pickled vegi salad). The vibe is great, outdoor covered seating, super friendly service and great food for very reasonable prices. Go check it out and support them you won't regret it!"

"Tap tap is a vibe! It has a bright and welcoming atmosphere with seating perfect for a date night or a family dinner. The food is absolutely delicious, my husband and I each got the plantains, one with pork and the other chicken. The plantains were great on their own, but topped with the delicious pork and homemade citrus slaw took it to the next level. I was saying “yuuuuum” with every bite. The chicken and the pork were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside flavored to perfection. Top top also serves a variety of refreshing Caribbean sodas, I highly recommend the pineapple ginger. This family run food cart brings the family vibes with kind smiles, and great customer service. I look forward to trying other items on the menu."
