Reviews
"Love this place! Atmosphere is cool, service is friendly and the pizza is great. It has a nice crispy crust and generous toppings. Will definitely make this a regular spot while we stay in Portland."
"Great service. Pretty good pizza. Crust is sweet, thin, and puffy at the ends, like proper NYC slice. Sauce and cheese are great too. However, the sauce doesn’t sit perfectly on the crust, creates a distinct boundary which imbalances the textures of the slice. Hence, my 4 star rating."
"Not the absolute best pizza I’ve had but it was pretty good pizza. Good value for how much you get."
"Mississippi Pizza is wonderful! It has some of the best gluten-free accommodations of any pizza restaurant in Portland, with sealed crusts and a completely separate oven for gluten-free orders to keep them celiac friendly. And both its gluten and gluten-free crusts are some of the best of either type in Portland- nice and chewy, thick, and cooked perfectly. Their pepperoni is great as well, both in the large "sheet" and small "cup" varieties. Its breadsticks are no slouch either. Possibly the restaurant's best virtue is its outdoor seating area, which is covered surrounded with heaters, and has a perfect atmosphere with the faint sounds of music from the neighboring Atlantis Lounge piped in for ambience. The biggest concern is the price, since a pie that feeds 3 can set you back $40-50... but that's about the same price as an average medium-quality meal in Portland these days, and non-picky light eaters can easily be satisfied with two slices for only $8 or $9."
"Has been awhile since I have been here. I had a chance to do date night with my wife as we had the evening free. Decided to go early to beat the crowds but at 5:20pm on a Saturday it had a line out the door. Turns out there was a kiddie band playing at the Atlantis Lounge next door. Luckily we got a table. We ended up ordering a 16-in gluten free pizza along with a Caesar salad and two drinks. The pizza was great and they do bake it in a gluten free only oven in the back of the restaurant away from the regular pizza ovens that are up front. Took about 30 minutes but they were busy. The salad was also good but i think the small could have served two people and we were talked into a large but it was good none the less. We were only able to finish half of the pizza and took the rest of it home. It was your classic thin crust pizza but it was very good."
