The Ellington Apartments

"We paid 28,000 for our rent and back pay and they said we never paid nor ever did and we gave all the files and documents to prove that they illegally evicted us from our apartment my fiances mother is disabled with a fractured foot so we're taking care of her and yet they say she's not and that we're lying about it. They haven't came and fixed our stair railing nor our ceiling fan which is basically falling out and we've made these maintenance calls for about 2-3 years now and nothing still hasn't been done if I were you I wouldn't move into these apartment nor waste my time looking at them"

"Used to live here about 10 years ago, was my first apartment Used to be quiet, peaceful, nice neighbors. Thought about moving back after all these years since I’m starting my own family, I remember when my next door neighbor was expecting her first. But after the reviews, definitely think I’m goin to pass. Shoot outs, murders, vandalism, rats, management, theft of rent, ect, mold, roaches. I think I’m good. No place I wanted have my expected to be new born."

"I lived here for about 8 years between 2013- 2020. My rent was only 850-1050 a month for a 3 bedroom townhouse. When I moved out, I received my full deposit because I left the place immaculate. The maintenence guys were really nice and helpful. The office people were pretty nice. One really bad thing is huge rats and cockroaches live under everyone's building. If you go into the basement you will not understand how anyone is legally allowed to live here. The city bought a few years before I moved and it got worse and worse. They stopped doing background checks. I moved because I didn't want to get shot. 4 months after I moved, there was a shoot out and 2 people were murdered on my front lawn area. It just got too dangerous. There have been several shootings, drug dealers, a chop shop set up and fights in this complex. When the city bought this place they made it too dangerous to live here. It used to be a nice place to live. I did have The Ellington at 4 stars."

"Called the office three times to let them know there’s cockroaches in the laundry room. No phone call back I went and bought some bug spray so I could feel comfortable to get my clothes out the dryer. I really wish you didn’t have to give them stars because living here is like him pulling needles out of the haystack I feel like they don’t care of that. We don’t feel safe here there’s unwanted animals that’s here creatures and then when you call the try to give you a different number to call and then they call and tell you to call the City Of Portland again like this is a ping-pong game right here I feel helpless"

"The new management team is doing a great job cleaning the apartments up. Vee Drake, our manager has been amazing about tackling any issues that make this community unsafe. They have added security to aid with this. The efforts have enabled the complex to have a family feel."
