"These people are crooks who don't take your complaints seriously, even if there are serious health concerns. Do they owe you money? They won't pay it. Do you like mold? You got plenty of it. Do you like dusty dank caves that have no openable windows? Then please sign a bloated contract with them. If you love living in horrible, old, overpaid apartments then this is the spot for you!"
"I currently live here and my roommate and i really love our apartment! However i cannot in good faith recommend living here to anyone, ESPECIALLY if you are low income at all as my experience with the management has been god-awful. I’m aware they’re just doing their jobs but the amount of red tape and “policy” that i’ve run into in such a short time has been super frustrating. During the winter what with the extra heat bill adding a good 200$ to our I have pretty much been living paycheck to paycheck scrambling to get rent every month. Because of this I had previously been trying to bypass the extra $50 service fee that is charged when you use the app in order to save whatever money I could. To do this I started buying money orders, last month I lost them on the way home and had to go through the process of getting a refund from the post office which took almost a month to receive. I contacted the office during this time and had lengthy communication with them showing them both receipts of purchase and of the refund paperwork as well as keeping them updated on everything throughout the process. Each time I went in I was dismissed and told that if I didn’t pay by a certain date they would have to contact their attorney and there was literally nothing they could do to help. I understand this is the policy and losing the money was my mistake however a lot of the tenants here are students including myself and hearing that I might have to go to court over this with not a shred of empathy or concern really sucked. I have no experience with this kind of thing and it was really scary to hear something like that and then be told “it’s just the policy” with no additional information or help. The office people don’t know who you are and they don’t care about you or the power they hold over their tenants. We are truly just numbers and letters on a screen to them, which should be something to consider before moving here."
"Update: Their response says to contact them so they can turn my experience around. I have contacted them MULTIPLE times. They have had many opportunities to turn it around. They have chosen not to. They have made no effort but want to act like they have for the public. Would NOT recommend! Please do not make the same mistake I did. I can't wait to move out. I hate it here. I have expressed my unhappiness to management multiple times, and they have made it clear that the happiness of their tenants is not a priority. Do you notice how they only respond to the positive reviews on Google? I find that shows their management style. If it's anything negative, they ignore, ignore, ignore. That's their policy. They are overall a very shady company that lie and ignore to run their business. Please save yourself and don't move in here! I don't want anyone else to have the same terrible experience that I have had. This is the worst place I've ever lived and the worst management company I've ever had to deal with. -The entire complex is like a maze, making it near impossible for delivery drivers to find the apartment. There are a severe lack of signs directing people. -Maintenance just randomly shows up at your door with no warning. They also shut off water and things with no warning. -There's carpet in the apartments, which is terrible for pet's. -The studios have a window that doesn't open. If you want an AC in the summer, you have to get an expensive patio door insert from Amazon. It's very unsafe. Anyone could break in. -The pools are always broken, and homeless people come and jump in them. -The laundry machines are always broken, and they raised the price on us from $1.50 to $1.75. Doing laundry adds up and gets expensive! -The people in the complex are really bad about picking up after their dogs, even though there are bags and receptacles provided. The management does nothing to stop or deter them, like threatening fines. -The management office is TERRIBLE at communication. They ignore all suggestions and concerns and do not care about their tenants. -They were sued for a big chunk of money because they were negligent in the upkeep of the property, and someone was badly injured. Something I wish I had come across before moving in. -They also had a really big fire. Another thing I wish I had known before moving in. -I was quoted one rent price, then suddenly it was higher when they found out what a desperate situation I was in. -They made me sign the lease before they would allow me to see the apartment. -Their definition of "premium appliances" are old, small black appliances that they charge more for. I didn't know that until after I signed the lease either."
"I couldn’t be more pleased with the move in process and Jakes hard work in getting me into my dream apartment! I initially was approved for a smaller apartment and the paperwork was complete. Then my dream apartment became available, so I asked for a transfer (not thinking I would be able to). Within minutes, Jake responded and already started the paperwork! I’ve never seen management be so quick in processing paperwork and so accommodating. You can tell they truly care about their tenants based on performance. Also, Jake was one of the kindest, funniest, humans I’ve had the pleasure of working with! I highly suggest Wimbledon Square and Gardens and working with Jake!!! Thank you again, you’ve made me one happy gal. I look forward to my stay in my new home."
