"I keep to myself, walls and doors a thin. Smaller than I had anticipated. Communication to residents is great."
"Halsey 28 is pretty solid! The apartments themselves are a little small for more than one person but they’re very new and clean and reasonably priced for both the location and the fact that the place is brand spanking new. It’s about equidistant between two red line stops and there are bus stops around almost every corner so it’s easy to get around and back home even if you don’t drive. Though there’s no on-site parking, street parking in the area is plentiful. You can easily walk a few minutes to a handful of grocery stores, urgent care and doctors offices, pharmacies, etc. The appliances in the unit are super nice and also brand new and having a full size smart washer and dryer in-unit is such a blessing. The only two majors kickers are: 1. no AC (which can be disappointing in a new building, but they were very clear up front when we toured the place and did not try to hide that there was no central AC in-unit) but even during the crazy heat wave it wasn’t hard to keep the apartment cool because the building is well insulated and 2. there is very little storage, most notably in the kitchen (we had to get creative). Property management is easy to get ahold of and is quick to respond to noise/smell/cleanliness complaints. I haven’t had any maintenance request so I can’t speak for their response time on those. The common areas of the building get cleaned regularly, I think once a week. My only actual problems living in this building have only ever been from other tenants who decide to be noisy at 3am, or do not always clean up after themselves or their animals, or who smoke inside and then choose not to air out their space (the smell doesn’t get into my apartment but the hallway has been pretty rank a few times). Otherwise it’s pretty good! If the units were even just a smidge bigger and had a little more storage it’d be perfect, but I also knew full well what I was taking on when moving two of us into a space less than 400 sqft, so do with that what you will."
"Left a longer review but it won’t publish it for some reason. Don’t move in here, if you want to know why just reply to me."
"Just don’t do it, horrible place to live, trust me."
"NO AIR CONDINTIONING in the units!!..they pump it in the halls though to make you think they do when go you look at them.. HORRIBLE"
