"Bakers cabin and church nestled off Hatten Rd. Full of History. Quick place to stop."
"My mother, Sharon Hall , ( Clark, Bostick ) was born in Burke South Dakota in 1941. When she was around 11 or 12 yrs old the family moved to Oregon and they lived in the Baker Cabin for awhile. Years later in 1983 I and my husband James Bostick Jr were married in the little white church that sets at the entrance to the cabin. So the whole place is special to me."
"Absolutely best choice for a venue, zero regrets!!! It made for stunning photos, the size of the church is perfect for an intimate wedding or elopement. We had 30 people very comfortably in the Church. Communication was wonderful and everyone was extremely accommodating, we ended up staying past our time slot taking pictures and we felt no rush from staff to leave, they were so kind! The attention to detail here was just darling, the dressing room is so sweetly set up and everything is very thoughtful. I asked them if it was possible not to mow before our wedding to keep the flowers in the field and they did which was so kind of them. We had plenty of parking for 30 people as well, but do note it's a only a porta potty. We didn't have our reception here we had it at my family's event barn, but the ceremony was terrific here and i'd do it over 100 times. The price was also outstanding for the beauty of the venue. My only complaint is the road it a little loud but it's not the end of the world, we had people honking and waving while taking pictures and lined up but i thought it was sweet, to each their own."
"The people working there were so friendly and enthusiastic. They were also very knowledgeable about the history of the cabin and the family that lived there. I went on Baker Cabin Pioneer Day, so there was live music that was fun to listen to, and demonstrations of old pioneer tools. It was relaxing & interesting."
"Wonderfully preserved cabin next to an equally wonderful church. Check website for any interior tours, but I went when no one was there, the buildings were shut, but things to see were still plentiful. There is a gravel road that leads to the cabin, but it was gated off. This was the only wheelchair accessible way to see the cabin, however, it's only a short stroll through the lawn from the free parking lot."
