"Kayla, is an amazing employee. Moved in on Monday and she helped me through the full process is less then 48 hours. Had everything ready, answered all my questions, and the apartment looks great. Toured multiple apartments and she was the most helpful staff member through each. EDIT- The above review was posted when I first moved in, everything went well. Now, ceiling is thin, packages get stolen, my trash can was stolen, my license plate off my car was stolen from the parking lot, no cameras. New staff, they are doing their best but I doubt they had much training. 3/5 for staff 1/5 property due to the area and the neighbors( larges problem is the house next door) that steal, use drugs, and are up all hours of the night."
"The apartments are attractive. They are older with some basic cosmetic upgrades. Your closet doors will come off every day, your disposal will continually break, and during the rainy months, they will do inspections on your apartment every single month. I had teenagers that came home after school, and they could not always guarantee that the inspection could be done before 3 o’clock, so there were occasions I had to leave work early so they could come and inspect the apartment. in a year that I lived there, there were seven or eight mandatory entries. Make sure to read over all of the fees. It is not a $1900 apartment once you add in all of the miscellaneous community fees, trash fees, valet trash (It is required to pay it and it will be picked up maybe 2/3 of the time) insurance, and now parking fees. You are given a required parking spot, and if you are like me, it will be nowhere near your apartment. I had to park facing 185th, and my apartment was the furthest from that on the third floor. When I was given my lease renewal, I was told I had to start paying $25 for that one parking space. Upon move out, they gave no instructions, I just had my lease which said everything must be cleaned thoroughly. I cleaned my apartment so well that somebody else could’ve moved in that same day and weeks later, I was informed that they charge a “standard $175 cleaning”, So that fee and the mandatory carpet cleaning would be subtracted for my deposit and surprise- I actually OWE them money. I have not yet received an answer as to why this differs from what our lease says. I had to move to this apartment for the location of my children’s schools. If it is not necessary, I would keep looking as you could find a better place for the same amount of money An update… they continued to just email me and say that I owe the money because the cleaners said that’s what I owe. I asked for the breakdown repeatedly, they told me they couldn’t give it to me and then threatened to send me to collections. They ended up getting their money, but I would change my review to zero stars, and do not rent from here."
"Please look up the reviews for parent company Avenue5. Avoid renting here if possible, as the company engages in shady billing practices, which I have personally endured. The property itself was okay as a standard apartment. I had no complaints living here, but I cannot suggest anyone rent from this company."
"I am a single mom and have been moving apartments since my daughter was born due to not feeling at home. This apartment complex has been my number one. I have been here for close to 3 years. They are so amazing with everything. Misty Ward the property manager has been tremendous and so kind and understanding at times. I have loved living at the Hanover and would recommend it to everyone looking for an apartment!"
"I have been living here for last 3 months and I am liking it so far! The apartment is nice, and the management tries to keep the buildings and the common areas clean. I haven't had any issues with my neighbors yet. Misty (property manager) and Bob (maintenance technician) have been really helpful and prompt in addressing any concerns."
