"We have lived with them for the past three years, and the only thing they have been good at is raising the rent. We have had multiple issues with neighbors smoking in the apartments, which then leaks into ours. The complex doesn't do anything about it even when the lease says that the apartments are smoke-free. We have also had sound issues with neighbors, and nothing was ever done. Parking is the worst, and when people park in your spot or even over the line, it can be days before it's resolved, often with no influence from the office. All they will do is post more signs, and they are all well with it. If you want a place that is hazardous to your health and that doesn't care about fulfilling their part of the lease, then by all means, sign with them. Otherwise, steer clear and spend your rent somewhere else."
"I've changed my 5 star review to a 2 star because of the childish non-communication of the office staff upon moving out. I was told the carpet in the apartment needed replaced, even though my family and I worked hours to clean everything and steam cleaned the carpet multiple times. The carpet was not replaced before I moved in. I offered to send pictures of what it looked like when I moved in (and the other long list of issues with the apartment noted on the lease) but the office didn't respond to any of my e-mails. They kept my $425 deposit and sent a letter saying I needed to pay an additional $120. I wrote back with the reasons why I am disputing their claim but instead of responding they turned it over to a collection agency, hurting my credit in the process. So ridiculous. There were also times that I put in a maintenance request and got ignored until I asked multiple times. Pretty immature way to run a management business that is based on customer service. I enjoyed living at the apartment for the most part which is why I originally left a 5 star review, but this petty move by the office left a sour taste in my mouth."
"We have lived here for about 7 yrs, approximately. In that time we have experienced good and bad. In the beginning it was wonderful. Besides the occasional noisy neighbors, neighbors that store garbage on their back porch, we have been satisfied. Lately we have been inundated with notices on our door. Most about the obvious, pool, dryer vent, air conditioner notices. But recently we received a notice about not having ANY personal items at our front door....NO Welcome sign, NO Wreath, Absolutely NOTHING! I'm absolutely saddened by this. I pride myself with appropriate holiday/welcome decorations. Nothing that is obnoxious or horrendous looking, only a simple and safe but appropriate decoration. But NO...I can not have ANYTHING to welcome guests to my home. And isn't that what they say in their prolog, "Welcoming home like environment?" Well, don't believe it. I can NEVER find a parking spot in front of our building, we can NOT have a welcoming front entry to our home, there is a consist slew of garbage throughout the complex, childrens toys/bikes strewn everywhere. But lord forbid we have any wreath or welcome sign on our front door. If i could move out i totally would. I would NEVER REFER ANYONE to move here. Good luck on your search!"
"I have lived here for almost a year and my family is very happy here. We are getting ready to sign another year lease. Our manager Lila is amazing and so is the other office staff. I would love to rate 5 stars but my only complaint is maintenance and the amount of homeless drug addicts we get that dig through the trash. My husband and I just call the police when we see them. Maybe some new signs that say no trespassing or no dumpster diving would be helpful. I know it would help officers be able to arrest them more easily. I haven't had the best experiences with maintenance. The staircase to my apartment is really unstable. We've had stairs that actually broke in half. Maintenance comes out and they do a quick fix but nothing sustainable. I've repeatedly submitted maintenance requests for them to fix the stairs. Recently my daughter and I were both injured by a loose step that the maintenance man was supposed to have fixed a few days prior. Another incident occurred when my front door was kicked in by a drug addict who was looking for someone who didn't even live here. I called the emergency line after the police came because the latch had broken off from the door frame and I didn't have a way to secure my apartment. The maintenance man answered and told me to have the police deal with it and told me not to bother him again. Really the only issue I see here is the maintenance guys. Hopefully someone will see this and make a change because I would love to give 5 stars."
"I've not had any major issues with Forest Ridge Apartments property management. Whenever anything needed to be fixed, it was fixed right away. Roxy & Lorraine have been kind to me since the day i moved in. I'm hoping it stays that way. My neighbors are loud upstairs but they have kids, and i have kids too so i understand. Every now and then i just go upstairs and have a conversation about it with them, then everything is all good. My kids love the neighbors, pool, hot tub basketball court. The playground can be updated though. this is a nice starter place for me and my kids. can't complain."
