"I recently had an appointment to fill a prescription for medical grade compression socks. The staff handled insurance information and approval ahead of time. I was seen on time by the provider. She provided info about fitting, care, and maintenance. They do carry some frequently purchased ones on site. So, depending on your situation, you may be able to walk out with a pair same day, like I did. The price, without insurance, ranges from $90 up to $2000. (The ones in stock are currently $90.) the ones I chose look like suntan nylons, but with much more substantial heft. They also carry a white and a black knee high sock. I’ve been using over the counter compression socks. These are much firmer compression."
"The staff at Hangar Clinic are very kind and generous. I was very nervous before going there because it was the first time I have ever been to a clinic like this. Everything was explained to me as we went. When I got my boot I was impressed with the simplicity of the boot and how comfortable it is. It came out perfectly. I was equally impressed by the color of it. My boot color is camouflage pink/ unicorn pink color. The bottom of the boot is quite stylish for a medically prescribed boot. It resembles something the Blackeyed Peas or Earth Wind and Fire would wear. I was told that if I needed anything at all, please let them know so they can accommodate my needs. Thanks for everything Hangar Clinic."
"Unfortunately, my experience has not been the best. Hopefully, everything is just from circumstance, but it feels a bit suspicious now. From an initial "mistake" in insurance claims to ordering a different brace than what I chose, and then being "unable" to refund the charge back to a credit card. My advise if you choose to do business with them is to research your insurance benefit first and to only pay for the product once you receive the correct one."
"I originally got my ACL braces here through the VA Community Care. I got fat and the straps no longer fit and I broke the top straps on both knee braces. My doctor through the VA only put in for one strap replacement. I asked about the other brace, willing to pay. They did not charge me for it. The staff was fabulous to work with. With 2 torn ACL's, I needed these braces to walk and they have helped me. Thank you for all that you do."
"My experience with Hanger Clinic has been very positive. When I walked into the office it was clean. The women checking me in were pleasant, respectful, and professional. The billing was easy to understand. The lady I worked with for my boots, she is delightful. She is very knowledgeable. She took her time to make sure my boots fit correctly. She made me feel relaxed and comfortable."
