His assistant was clearly new, but she did a nice job. Everyone I met in office was friendly and helpful.Helped lower stress level. Glad I chose Oak Park Dental"

"It's very unfortunate to write this review, as I did enjoy each hygienist that my family and I saw the few times that we went here - however, while the hygienists are great - the front desk staff and billing department make the place not worth going back to. In 2021, I had an oral surgery here, that I waited a year to go in for, as Oak Park told me that I needed to wait to have my insurance for one full year before it would be covered, so I waited - and was in a tremendous amount of pain, when I finally had the procedure, I ended up getting a bill for the entirety of the procedure because my insurance didn't cover any of it - despite the insurance department at Oak Park telling me they had checked and that if I just waited, it would be covered. So not only was I in pain for a full year waiting, but then I had to pay out of pocket anyway and Oak Park refused to do any kind of payment plan for me. Because I liked the hygienists so much, I decided this must have just been a blip and a mistake that wouldn't happen again. However, now a year and a half later - I was just stuck with another huge bill, again for a procedure that the staff assured my husband would be completely covered by our insurance and was not. Their billing department has no idea what they're doing, and the front desk staff was so incredibly rude about it - I wouldn't return here if you paid me."

"Dr Emerick is kind, very thoughtful in his work and patient with the numerous questions I ask. I witness his kindness to his coworkers also. I very much enjoy his sense of humor, it is fun to laugh while in discomfort. I have never before experienced a dentist that I look forward to seeing!"

"I'm back to my usual dental hygienist and she did great. She took care to make sure I was informed through the process and she didn't hurt me. Thank you very much! I had a few small cavities filled the next day and the doctor did a great job. My numbing shots hurt a bit but not much can be done about that. Thanks for your good work."
