"Supplement shills first, doctors second. Given that this place was trying to sell me something that doesn't work for a medical condition that would be dangerous if left untreated, I fear that the other customers of this supplement storefront are not receiving appropriate care. Do not go here unless you already have a thorough understanding of your healthcare needs, how medicine works, and are confident in your ability to advocate for yourself. If you aren't confident, bring someone who understands your health situation and who understands fake vs. evidence-based medicine who can advocate for you. Supplements, by the legal definition of being supplements and NOT medicine, are unproven to treat disease. And yet, Dr. Mount offered me supplements in the same sentence as evidence-based medicine... implying that they had the proven efficacy of real medicine. She also asked a barrage of questions pertaining to my health that no doctor has asked me before, and they were not things I had given her any indication of being an issue for me. She asked if I had experienced things like acid reflux, diarrhea, constipation... all things supplements like to claim to treat. Only after I point-blank asked if she was "trying to sell me something that has no evidence if it works" did Dr. Mount confess that "after the lawsuit" they aren't allowed to claim their supplements work, but that they "still work for some people." I'm not a lawyer but this seems like a legally dubious statement to make. Metagenics, one of the supplement companies listed on the Rogue Medicine website, settled a lawsuit for $1.3 million for falsely claiming their supplements treat medical conditions. The other, Apex Energetics, was found to have knowingly and intentionally sold supplements contaminated with lead for years and did not inform their customers. These are the kinds of products this establishment finds acceptable to sell to you as though they were equal to proven treatments. Edit: Dropped as a patient, "due to unrealistic expectations," likely because of this review. Unsurprising and I still stand behind every word I wrote."
"Dr Kahn is not just a fine physician, she is a delightful, thoughtful, involved, and a patient-centric human being."
"Dr Khan was a referral from my OBGYN, I filled out paperwork and she agreed to take see me as a patient in May, had an appointment in July, got a call from the practice the morning of my appointment to cancel. Got an appointment august only that appointment was also cancelled only I was not informed. Next appointment was set for a month later. I was late getting to the appointment and was informed that not only was Dr. khan not able to see me but was no longer willing to see me as a patient. In this day and age, it is incomprehensible that a doctor chooses to be this inconsiderate and inflexible."
"I’ve been seeing Dr. Mount at Rogue Medicine for about 3 years now, and am pleased with the care I’ve received. It’s always clear that Dr. Mount has read my chart thoroughly before an appointment, and has recorded my concerns and her observations with detail. She has a “low and slow” approach when it comes to prescribing medication and supports my alternative choices and lifestyle changes for management of health issues whenever possible. I’ve not had any difficulty with follow up as described by other reviewers. In fact, just today I called with a request to have a prescription called in to an out of state pharmacy as I am traveling, and the medical assistant returned my call promptly. Perhaps there were previous staffing issues that have since been dealt with?"
"I'm sure Dr. Kahn is a great doctor. I've heard good things about her, but I've never seen her. Instead I was a patient of a nurse who left the practice. I didn't get a notice until my scheduled annual visit came up and they canceled. They offered to schedule me with another nurse, and changed my appointment twice and then finally canceled my appointment outright the day before. I'm now out of my blood pressure prescription with no one to refill it."
