"The phone system is not acceptable. When I called to schedule an appointment I got a recorded message. The voice message recorder says, "We care about you", but if they really cared about me they would have a person answering the phone and not a recorded message! I expect more from a medical office! Hire a receptionist!!!"
"Things have went very downhill in the last year. It is incredibly hard to get anyone to call you back, especially for any billing issues. A receptionist told me they refuse to allow their billing person to have more hours, and will only pay them part time, even though it is clear they cannot do the work in the time they’ve been allowed. They also just shut down their Clackamas office without notifying their patients prior to doing so, and now they are calling after the fact telling us we need to travel to the Gresham or Tigard offices for care. I’m scrambling now to find a provider in my area, as well as having to travel out to Gresham to get the allergy serum, which is a huge waste of time when they could have let us know that the clinic was closing and giving the serum at the last appointment. They are disorganized and not considerate of their patients. They told us incorrect timing for shots and we had to make several more shot appointments because they told us the wrong scheduling information, then suggested dates with that info, which was all wrong. We are moving to another allergy shot clinic."
"First and foremost, I had been a patient of the Asthma Allergy Centre for 12+ years. I always had a positive experience on each visit. The front of house staff was extremely helpful and easy to work with, nurses were awesome and did their job well. Dr. Chang was super friendly, caring, and insightful - he diagnosed me with a vocal cord dysfunction that no other doctor had been able to identify over the course of multiple previous attempts. The team and their systems made being a customer a pleasure. I’m currently on maintenance for my allergy shots/immunotherapy. I have been for many of those 12 years - In fact, I’ve been told that I could “take a break” if I wanted to - but I’ve had such success with the shots that I don’t want to chance life without them and have chosen to continue (without break). After all, Asthma Allergy was a great clinic to work with and I could afford the cost of the shots. I want to be clear - I DO NOT have to come in each month to get shots. I choose to. With that said, I cannot tell you the number of times that I’ve visited Columbia Allergy since the M&A last year that I have left feeling disappointed, frustrated and/or upset with my experience. There have been multiple occasions (either with in person visits, with billing issues, with availability -the lack there of- or on the phone) that has made me think twice about continuing to receive shots. And has made me consider looking for another allergy specialist/clinic. The limitations and constraints now saddled onto the patients is incredibly irritating…For example, - They’ve limited "shot days" to 1 or 2 days a week without any flexibility - especially for people that work M-F, 8AM-5PM - whereas we previously had 5 days to choose from, one of which being Saturday. - They’re now entirely closed down during the lunch hour - rather than simply rotating your lunches to allow patients to continue to visit - which makes it next to impossible for folks that work to come in on our lunch hours to get shots. -They’ve been closed without notice and without posting on their website or on the clinic doors on multiple occasions (even though the office hours and shot hours online indicate that they should have been open) - They're now asking that we make an appointment to get a shot, but do not offer the ability to schedule shots online and do not answer the phone when I’ve called to make an appointment over the phone (In fact, I have NEVER been able to get someone to answer a call in the last 6+ months when I’ve called - today alone, I sat on a call loop today for 10 mins and 34 seconds while waiting for someone to answer.) - Their front of house staff is curt, irritated when you ask them questions, and could not be more snub to patients. It’s clear that they are not happy with their place of work, are equally frustrated with the changes that have recently been implemented, are embarrassed about some of your new policies, and feel stuck/helpless when it comes to helping patients. I’m not normally one to complain - I’m the kind of person that eats my food anyway, even though it may be incorrect at a restaurant…. but I’m so incredibly disappointed and frustrated with Columbia Allergy at this point that I felt someone needed to know. (And based on some of the conversations and looks on other patients' faces in the waiting room, I know that I’m not the only one that feels this way.) ** Columbia Allergy ** Please put your patience first again (like Dr. Chang and his team did). Please consider not only what's good for your business efficiencies, but what would make being a patient of yours a pleasure. Help me change this review to a positive one!"
"Worst experience ever. They have closed the Beaverton office effective immediately today 05/022023 where my child has an appointment tomorrow. I got a call from the rudest receptionist ever, telling me this information and when I asked questions she acted extremely unprofessional. I then asked to be transferred to her manager as we will take our business elsewhere and then she hung up on me. Needless to say, the office staff is unpleasant to work with. I called back and spoke to who manager who was apathetic at best. We will take our business elsewhere for sure."
"This was the only clinic in the area that would take my serum transfer from another clinic so I could continue my shots. However, the communication was horrible. I arrived one Saturday after the 30 minute drive there to find that they were no longer open on Saturdays and I hadn’t received any notice. When it came to renewing my serum, I signed the needed forms. multiple times and they kept becoming misplaced and never got to my original doctor so my serums ran out and I was unable to get my shots. Among other issues that arose while I was a patient with them. Luckily I’ve moved back out of the area and no longer use this clinic. I don’t recommend going here or to any of their locations."
