"The area at McVay has multiple uses, I myself take a short walk down steps and trail to take me down to the beach. I've found great shells and colored glass."
"Fun beachside course with lots of wind. No guidebooks were available so it was helpful to take a picture of the large map sign to carry with me. Watch out for: lots of gopher holes and very uneven terrain; it’s be easy to twist an ankle. And we had to modify our play because the brush had overgrown the path from hole 3 to 4 (and 7 to 8). That said, it was fun to hurl around the discs while enjoying ocean breeze and views. When you’re finished, take a walk down to the beach!"
"Man, it's right on the water, bummer it's terribly maintained... 1-3 and 8-9 are ok, the back field is just a nightmare. Not worth it. Even then there are so many thorn bushes and spots you wouldn't even want to try looking for a disc. Maybe if you're checking out the beach or dog park to throw a few, not worth a trip in itself though. Well signed though!"
"Can be such a great course. Holes 1-3 and 8-9 are fantastic. 1 and 9 being close to the beach. The downside is holes 4-7 because the grass on the fairway is so overgrown. Definitely affected how I played. Also hole 5 is a tunnel shot that seems crazy, but I didn't play it because I couldn't even find the basket. Your legs will be cut up if you play those holes. Now if it was mowed it would be a fantastic 9 hole course. Right now it's really only five holes."
