"This park is one of the many sites commemorating the battles between the Christians of Newberg and the Satanists of Wilsonville. After a decade long run of The Ten Commandments at the Francis Theater, the Satanist struck in March of 1993. While the Satanists were never able to gain entry to the theater, and defile the film reels, they did manage to cause an earth quake on the morning of the 25th that irreparably damaged the building. A fountain at the park is dedicated to the Christian warriors and the film reels they preserved"
