"My friend and I stayed here for an impromptu getaway recently. We are new to B&Bs and such so we were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality. The lady who checked us in and cooked us breakfast was an exceptional host. There is soothing music playing when you enter your room, and all the rooms have different views of the ocean. Overall very cozy and upscale, clean, great breakfast, we will be back!"
"Beautiful, modern, comfortable, and quiet bed and breakfast located on the beach! This is definitely one of the nicest stays we have had, and we travel a lot. Mary, the property manager, lives on sight and is available to address any needs that might arise. Her attention to detail, friendly personality, and caring nature make her the perfect hostess. We stayed in the White Caps room. It offered an awesome view of the beach and ocean from bed. What a wonderful way to greet the day! The sitting area near the rooms gas fireplace was cozy, and the large soaking tub was a relaxing way to end the day. Mary provided fresh baked cookies and wine at a happy hour each evening and fresh pastries and coffee in the morning. The breakfasts on the two days we stayed were tasty, filling, and unique! Honestly, it was difficult to leave the comforts of the Ocean House each day!"
"Wow! This is a great stay. It has it all. Location - convenient to everything in the area. Views - spectacular (see pictures). Service - Mary the Inn Keeper was delightful and helpful. Breakfast was very tasty and innovative. Snacks and drinks were very good. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed and spacious shower. Fireplace was very nice in bedroom. We felt home. Relaxed in the living room at night. Enjoyed the firepit outside overlooking the ocean. All in all a perfect peaceful stay."
"This bed and breakfast resort is the ultimate in relaxing and comfortable beachfront locations. Our room was specifically curated to evoke an old-world atmosphere that compels its residents to sit and enjoy each others' company as they gaze out over the water. Our breakfast each morning was, in a word, exquisite. As my wife napped during the day in our luxurious king-size bed, I read quietly in front of our in-room fireplace as the ocean conjured up a brief squall that pelted our seafront windows with wind and rain. Being here was like going back in time."
"We stayed in “The Cottage” for a stress-free getaway. The parking is challenging, but with my husband’s excellent parking skills we managed to get a 3/4 ton truck snug in a spot. To avoid losing it we took a cab to dinner. There is one 24 hr can in town and she was great. $24 round trip from Newport Yaquina Cab. Check in was easy, there is a main house with a small dining area that has cookies and coffee and a supply of snacks, tea, sodas and popcorn. You get access to this area if you need a midnight snack. Wine and beer are offered on arrival. There is a fire pit and wood nearby for a romantic eve with a view if you want to use it and the beach is an easy downhill walk and is fairly private. Our room was cozy and there is a fireplace, fridge, micro and toiletries. It is a beautiful, quiet place but I gave it four instead of 5 stars because of the bed. It was awful. My husband loves a harder bed but this one was hard as a rock. However, the breakfast the next morning made up for an uncomfortable night as it was fantastic! We took naps when we got home. I would definitely return, but stay in a different room and hope for a better mattress."
