"We made a mistake and thought we booked a one night stay for Saturday. We got there and found out it was for 2 days. Friday and Saturday! Obviously our reservation was canceled because of a no show, and the front desk lady was very nice and mentioned they were all booked out of the room we originally reserved BUT had a room with a king bed. My wife and I went outside to discuss our mistake and decided to take the offer. We went back to take her up on the offer but was immediately told NO we don't have anything! In a very aggressive tone. This happened within literally 10 minutes of finding that we messed up to making a decision to take the room. She made us feel like we lied about what she offered us. Very disappointing, but it was our fault. Probably won't be back as we do every year to celebrate my wife's birthday."
"I got the loft queen bed room with partial ocean view. The heating worked well in my room and it had a good strong shower. The room was clean. The bed was hard but I still slept ok. One elevator was working and it wasn’t too bad. For the price I got it was a good stay but if you are expecting a 5 star hotel for a 2 star price you will be disappointed. If you go expecting a decent place to stay for a good price it will meet your needs. The lady at the front desk was a little overwhelmed but she had a good attitude."
"Ambiance: Not great right from the start. Front doors squeal every time they slide open. Lobby is dated and there was only one working elevator. But you can see right out to the beach from the lobby. Which is nice. Service: No complaints about the staff at all. Friendly and helpful front desk attendants. The young man who handled the maintenance/utility duties responded promptly and helped out as much as he could. Facilities Quality: Our TV didn't work and had to be swapped out. The sliding glass door had no lock when we arrived and one to to be brought to us. Our door lock sensor went out and we had to wait half an hour to have it reset. Hot tub was unavailable. Everything needs a remodel and more regular maintenance. Value for Money: Over $500 for two nights. More like convenience for the money. Overall Experience: The location and the view are great. Close to all the touristy attractions. And having the mini kitchen was nice for eating in. The pool was one of the biggest draws for this hotel. Kids had a lot of fun down there. Would probably book here again but it would be with limited expectations for the facility itself. Recommended. Begrudgingly."
"Location is all that saves this hotel honestly. (As long as you aren't expecting to see the ocean from your room!) One star is way too generous for this hovel. The room was a filthy, dark cavern with the WORST mattress I've ever seen. It was visibly concave in the center and incredibly lumpy. No smart tv or even a coffee pot. No ice bucket or soaps. Our partial ocean view could only be seen if you hung waaaay out over the banister. You could hear everything through the paper thin walls, including the wonderful thumping of people using the stairs all night long since the elevators were barely operable. I couldn't have been more disappointed in our room/stay if tried. I tried talking to staff, but they shrugged it off. Disappointing beyond all measure."
"Run down overpriced motel 6 with a view. Sofa bed was literally just springs and a thin layer of cloth. Worst "bed" and I use that term loosely, we've ever seen as something for a paying guest to sleep on. Prisons probably have more comfortable beds. My son would rather sleep on their dog hair ridden floor. In room 316 king room with a sofa bed, you get the added bonus of hearing the exhaust fans from the downstairs restaurant instead of the ocean. Staff checked me into the wrong room. The whole check in process and changing rooms took an hour and half. View is great and that's literally it! I will never stay here again even if they remodel. It's robbery they charge what they do for this dump. ZERO ⭐ for Room"
