"i have spent maybe a little over 2 years working here, and rachael is one of the hardest working people I have met. She works full time and does school, yet is always is coming up with new curriculum for the kids to learn, she spends time making very organic meals for every lunch, and is buying new toys to help kids learn constantly. Nothing is better than having a childcare provider who seriously enjoys their job. The kids love coming here and spending time playing and learning, they even ask to do school work. she is a very good role model to me and the children, and I am lucky to have found a place to work that is so amazing and anyone would be lucky to have her as their childcare provider."
"I am writing this to be as completely and brutally honest as possible. In 2019 I found Rachel after my previous provider has been shut down by the state of Oregon. I found out that my child had been neglected at this daycare. I open with this so I can lead into the care provided not only by Rachel for my son but also for myself. Rachel was very professional and had us come for a meeting prior to signing my son up in her care. She was also very empathetic and listened to our story and experience. She understood my fears of enrolling my child in her care. I did. My son was in her care from 2019 to 2021. In this time I witnessed the love she has for teaching and the care she provides people. She worked with me in providing videos, photos, and updates until I stopped asking. She built trust and eventually a friendship. Rachel was always doing fun activities with the kids. Theme days, learning activities, and always taking time to spend with each individual child one on one. I cant stretch enough how amazing it was. How much fun i could see my son having and the want to be there. I got told daily how wonderful he was and how much she adored him. As a mother this was so great. In September 2021 I did remove my child from Rachels care. It became evident after the fact that Rachel was overwhelmed and this was what lead up to the events. I was informed that my child was no longer doing well. He was requiring care more than what she was able to provide and regressing. The difficult part was my son would behave completely different for myself making it extremely difficult for me as a parent to fix the issues. When asking for a list of behavior she was discussing I was given the attached image of the behaviors she deemed unacceptable and inappropriate. Then I was told my son is developmentally delayed. As a mother you do notice when your child is behind. We went through hours of medical testing and evaluations to find out what was wrong with my son. Just to be told for his age he was perfectly developmentally and behaviorally appropriate. I truly think Rachel is an amazing caregiver and provider but not for the ages 1-4. If your child is 4 plus I feel they would be better suited for her. The only other thing I can say was negative was the way she will communicate at times. Rachel had a tendency to say things that could be inappropriate, share other parents personal life happenings, or not communicate other people present in care for your child. Again I want to reiterate that she is an outstanding provider, knowledgeable, and very driven on teaching and making your child ready for school."
"Both of my children went to Lamet's Treasures and I couldn't be happier with the care they received. Rachael is 100% reliable and cares about the students as if they are her own. I highly recommend Lamet's treasures for anyone looking for childcare!"
