Reviews
"Senyo by Ramen Ippo is the best ramen in Portland. Dice is absolutely amazing at what he does. His tan tan is incredibly well balanced. The broth is almost creamy, yet so smooth. Very satisfying on a cold, wet day. Their garden ramen is fresh, healthy. We get it a little spicy (level 3 out of 5). Go early so you can get one of his amazing eggs! Six stars out of five!"
"My 18 year-old granddaughter and I were randomly walking looking for a place to get a bite to eat and stumbled upon Senyo by Ramen Ippo. We opted for the black garlic ramen, maze soba and both enjoyed our meal a lot. Enough to want to give it a favorable review. The outdoor tables were clean and the food had a wonderful blend of flavors that made for a VERY satisfying meal. Would highly recommend."
"As I walking around Sellwood, I found Senyo on New Year's Day, I was pleasantly surprised to find a cozy spot open for a comforting meal. With a limited yet enticing menu, I opted for the black garlic ramen, maze soba, and gyoza. The black garlic ramen was a delightful bowl of umami goodness. The broth, rich and robust with hints of garlic, enveloped the perfectly cooked noodles, creating a harmonious blend of flavors. The tender slices of pork belly were a savory delight, adding depth to each spoonful. The maze soba was a unique and satisfying choice. Mixing the savory minced meat, chewy noodles, and a medley of toppings created a symphony of textures and tastes that kept me going back for more. The gyoza, with its crispy bottom and juicy filling, were an absolute treat. Overall, Senyo exceeded expectations with their delicious offerings, making it a delightful start to the new year. The fact that they were open on a holiday was an added bonus, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit to explore more of their flavorsome menu!"
"You won’t regret ordering anything on this menu except for MORE! Phenomenal gyoza (it’s not the basic frozen gyoza other places offer, SO MUCH BETTER), ramen, and sake. The photos I took are from two days. The chef is very kind and genuinely cares about amazing food and fast service. Eat here - you will be coming back!"
"Tried the tan tan ramen, garden ramen, and edamame gyoza. After taking a bite of the gyoza, we both wished we’d ordered 12 instead of 6. They were incredible! Both styles of ramen were fabulous as well… the tan tan ramen broth was deeply rich, savory, and nutty. I appreciated the freshness and lightness of the garden ramen in contrast. Can’t wait to return to try the black garlic ramen as well!"
