La Mexicana

"I wondered how a little taco truck with some rustic tables had 5 stars, that's hard to achieve on Google, but then we went there!! IF YOU AREN'T EATING HERE YOU ARE MISSING SOME OF THE BEST MEXICAN IN PORTLAND, maybe even some of the best in the US (hint the icing on the Burrito is the sauce for sure)! As soon as I bit into my Asada Burrito I said "OH MY GOD!" to my boyfriend who is a career professional chef and we've traveled the country eating terrible food. We have been trepidations about Portland food trucks but we were in the area and I saw the 5 stars and was surprised and curious. THRILLED WE WENT! We actually tipped her twice it was so amazing! Thank you guys for doing it right and making it from the heart! WE WILL ABSOLUTELY WITHOUT QUESTION BE BACK!"

"I just finished eating my carnitas tacos from La Mexicana and had to write a review immediately! This was some of the best food I have eaten in a while. The meat was so tender and well seasoned and the the food looked appetizing and made with care. The woman who took my order and cooked the food was very kind. I don’t live in this area, but I am willing to make the drive to try more of the menu!"

"Wow!! They do a killer California Burrito here. Great quality carne asada and really crispy fries. The burrito here was better than many I’ve had in San Diego where CA burritos are a staple food group. Salsa was tasty but not very spicy."

"Went there for lunch, with my two friends, (we recommended to go back every weekend) staff were super nice and service was quick, I ordered and food came super quick and tasty, the carne asada and shrimp tacos were well presented and flavorful.
