"This review is specifically for the Secret Beach at the northernmost end of Lincoln Beach. It was a place that I read about and few people get to see as it is not readily accessible. It can be reached by parking at the Roads End Recreation parking lot then walking about a mile north to what appears to be the end of the wide sandy beach where the cliffs meet the Pacific Ocean. Only when there is a negative number low tide you will find a way to make your way around the rocks, wading through several inches of water and making a short climb over some rocks. Bring shoes you can walk in the water with and climb over rocks with! The kelp is extremely slippery so avoid stepping on it! However this is well worth it as when you emerge on the other side you find a beautiful alcove that is made of crushed aggregate. There are many crevasses to explore and if you are a rock collector, this is your dream. You can see lots of sea life in the tide pools such as starfish and sea anemones. As much as you want to stay and explore, do NOT get caught on this side while the tide is coming in. It can rise hard and fast and you can be totally trapped. PLEASE always consult the local online tide charts and only attempt to visit this place when the tide is showing a negative number!"
"It's an ever changing beach. Almost never the same each time you visit. Walk down can be a little slippery depending on the weather. Sometimes it's a slightly treacherous final couple yards to the beach. Make sure you have good footwear. Once on the beach it's pretty wide and most of the time spread out. There are events at the casino which makes for a slight crowd by it's parking lot beach access. Very scenic walk there are sometimes rock structures visible along with Pelicans and Seals or Sea lions. Very active birding. Lots of different species to see. Parking very limited can fill up. Cars are ticketed on the road be careful."
"Lovely place to stop and explore the beach. if you just get into Lincoln City from Portland or Salem, very convenient.. Also, there's new activities down there like wind surfing and is more popular than It used to be. Not a great picnic place. OK restrooms."
"This was a really fun and interesting beach to be able to go down on our last day on the coast. The access was simple and easy to locate which was fantastic; the trail down to the beach was mostly paved half way down before turning into large cobble stone type rocks- be careful! Once down onto the beach you can go left or right. We went right and enjoyed finding many agates along the rocky patches of the beach as well as walking in the warm sand to start our morning off right. This is a gorgeous area to go to and seems to be a little less busy especially on such a major holiday weekend-which we can definitely appreciate! We are excited to come back and visit this beach again and again in the future to see what other sort of treasures we may end up finding!"
"A nice uncrowded beach to walk on and explore the tidepools or hunt for agates. You will find fragments of lava rocks that form ragged islands and a little creek that flows to the ocean. The area is known for a secret cove and beach at low tide near Roads End Point, but watch the tide closely. This beach is part of the hidden glass float program, Find Keepers in Lincoln City at certain times of the year. Located in the North part of Lincoln City on Logan Road, about a mile from US-101. One of those beaches that you can fly a kite, take a long romantic walk on the beach, watch the amazing sunrises and sunsets."
