"Food was amazing first off all. Staff was friendly, especially the one taking orders at the counter. You order everything first up there, then they seat you (be sure to make reservations) and bring everything out to you. Much, much faster than i had anticipated. Place was packed from wall to wall and every seat taken. Definitely recommend the enchiladas, esquites, and the drink bidi bidi bom bom! Excellent establishment!"

"Had a lovely weekday dinner here at La Patroncia. As others had mentioned, it is pricy and you don’t get a lot of food. I did go in prepared for that however. I got two tacos and a cocktail special and got out of there for under $40. Unlike reviewers, I felt the service was spot on. Food came out quick and everyone was super kind and friendly. Ambience was lovey, loved the bar vibe and cozy fireplace. All in all, I’d recommend and will be back."

"This is a two visit review, we visited this place last week and we wanted to try additional things before posting a review. I like the small menu option, this gives good quality food, the downside to other Mexican restaurants is that their is too many things on the menu and that decreases the quality. This place is small restaurant and just like it can seem slow at a certain time, 15 min later you can see a long line to get in (which is always a good sign). I also like that it is only open in the evenings, you can guarantee the food is fresh. The staff is amazing, friendly and they are not bothering every 10 min to see if everything is ok. They let you enjoy your food, they will check on you just a few times and it is still easy to reach out to them if you need them. The food is amazing, as a Mexican and someone that compares my moms cooking to restaurants cooking, I can say that this is by far the best Mexican Restaurant in Portland. Don’t take my word for it, definitely visit this place and experience it for yourself."
