"Great lady running this place. She's been cutting my hair for several years."
"First visit was great. Open early, very friendly and social, good price and easy to find. More updates to come after next visit."
"I’ve been itching to write this review, but have held back because I was shell shocked. On March 11th, 2023 I went in to get my hair done with my two children and experienced the most racist form of bigotry in my life. Myrtle Creek, since living here for two years, I’ve experienced all sorts of racism right down to refusal of service. But, this one took the cake because it also had my children involved. I went in to get mine and my children’s hair done, and my two girls went first. She made remarks about my older daughters hair, she’s only 5, just saying things like she didn’t know what to do with her hair, it’s different and this or that. My second daughter goes up, 3 years old, and she goes a step further and says she doesn’t know what to do with her hair either and it was “odd” that she had a mix of straight with curls. As a hairdresser, why is it okay to make such remarks about people’s hair that seem distrusting in her profession, and also say these things in front of children about them? Then, I went up, and mind you none of us got our hair sectioned she just hacked away at our hair and I had to come home and fix all of our hair after paying 45-50$. The first thing this lady told me was that I have “black girl hair” and that now she “knew where my daughter got it from”. Disgusting. I’m Hispanic. We don’t have kinky/coily hair. She advised me to start investing in “black girl hair products” and that’s when I said they weigh down my hair a lot because it has a ton of oil, and she claimed I needed it because my hair is too dry. I tried to change the subject by telling her how I want my haircut, and she flat out told me I couldn’t get bangs because I have a cow lick . In all the years I’ve gone to get my hair done, I’ve never had a hair dresser try to refuse me bangs or consistently say they couldn’t do this, or even didn’t know what to do . It’s just absurd and uncomfortable. I got my bangs but they were the thinnest things ever ! There’s a triangle shape that forms at the front of individuals heads that help hairstylists see where the bangs can be cut and shaped. She cut about HALF OF IT! It was so thin and botched. When she finished, she flat out told me “well I tried”. This lady is so unprofessional, so obviously non caring about clients of ALL BACKGROUNDS, and I honestly just wish this area would realize it’s 2023 and racism and bigotry shouldn’t still be occurring. Also, as a hair stylist making so many negative comments about her own abilities, about mine and my children’s hair, and not even bothering to do our hair appropriately (I.e. zero hair clips for sectioning our hair even though we wanted layers), I’ve come to realize that the best way to fight racism within businesses is to report them. This place is definitely getting reported."
"Great haircut and good visit. Price was also good, I'm a happy customer"
"Teresa is great! I get the best pedicures from her. It's always a nice relaxing visit, my feet feel great and my toes are always so pretty when she is finished."
