"Probably one of the best fried chicken meals you'll ever have in a dive bar in the U.S. It will take a really, really long time to get your fried bar food (they had one bartender working the bar and fryer when we went on a Saturday afternoon). The batter for the Jo-Jos and fried chicken are incredibly good. They are thick, crispy, with flaky layers--remeniscent of really good Korean fried chicken batter that is made for sauces. The dark meat chicken we got was super tender and juicy too. Fried pickles and onion rings seemed to have a lighter, tempura-veggie-like batter. If you live nearby, I think this would be a great spot for fried chicken. We're thinking about trying to make it our meet-up spot before Violet Hex / drag and queer movie nights at the Clinton Street theater. Ambiance is small dive bar-y. Bartender is overworked and super friendly. A few beers on tap, and some cans in the fridge. For those who care, the space might not be the most fat-friendly or accessible when it's crowded: the bathroom I used was tiny and not accessible, and there's some tables with stools or pull-out chairs."

"Take my review with a grain of salt. First off, the 3 piece is enough to fill up one starving individual unless you've got a major appetite. The cost is reasonable at 13 bucks as of 09/23/23! The one thing that was frustrating but wasn't in control of the business (I think) was the lack of support for the bartender. She was working solo on a SATURDAY due to labor issues we keep hearing about. Sheesh. So I waited over an hour to get my chicken becuz of the hype. But I was warned. If this place wasn't so hyped I may not have done that in retrospect. The chicken was sort of mediocre. Like no flavor just crispiness from the frying pan. Fred Meyers fried chicken to me tastes better. It's also a bar so if that's not your thing you might not truly appreciate this establishment! Also the music can be trash (based on your musical taste) since you pay to adjust it!"

"Had this several years ago and again today. It was super consistent, if not better. We preferred the chicken tenders specifically bc it was easier to dip. The chicken legs definitely had better texture and were juicier, whereas the tenders were more dry, but still quite good. We loved the sauces. Chicken tender meal ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ - best for dipping - really good Chicken leg meal ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - quite good but harder to dip - juicy and crispy ❤️Jojo's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - I like the jojo's more than the chicken --- sauces --- Honey mustard ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ Sweet chili ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ House made ranch ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"
