"Called to see if they could take my furnace out and fix the wall behind it due to water leak he was there 5 minutes.on June 14th Walked with him outside and he handed me his device to sign. I asked what’s this he said 130 or so u said I had 4 other people that came never been charged. If I was told up front I would have never had you come he left. I called a few weeks later after I got an invoice in the mail she said sorry I will handle that . Two days ago I get another call they will send me to collections if not paid at the end of the year so my point when your. Calling to get a quote a company needs to tell you up front terrible experience"

"I bought a house with furnaces installed by Melton's in 2019, just 4 years old. The previous homeowners had had numerous problems with the unit and had it expensively "repaired" prior to us taking possession of the house last year. Techs on that trip were rude and condescending as though we didn't know what made these things function. Fast forward to this year and after 6 months right a power outage the unit would not start back up, and the mother board was not being powered. After researching the unit ourselves we discovered that it should have been under warranty, so we called them out again to repair the problem. Another tech came out different than the first rude individual and proceeded to complain about how shoddily the unit was installed in the first place, which was interesting since nobody had ever touched it except Melton's. After correctly diagnosing the problem a part (transformer) was ordered and the tech had to return to repair. Upon replacing the transformer it was discovered that the faulty transformer had overvolted the thermostat and caused that to fail as well. Another item that should have been covered under the warranty. Instead the technician replaced the thermostat which we expected to be under warranty, literally taking two minutes to take it out of the package and clip it into the already installed and existing wall mount. He then presented my significant other with a bill for $450 for replacement and "installation" of a part that not only should have been warrantied, but lists for only $118 to $135 depending on the source. Multiple available, we checked! All told $699 (part / labor and diagnosis in addition to warranty) for completely useless and bordering on incompetent service. After confronting Melton's about the fact that they are warrantying the part for 5 years I pointed out that they installed the same part not 4 years ago but they aren't honoring anything. Not only will these rude condescending and price gouging individuals cease to get our business ever again, (I have 3 HVAC systems in this house alone) but we made sure that we shared this experience with all of our HOA community, 205 houses worth to make sure they don't use them either."
